3. Setup

3.1 SIM Card Installation

  2. Insert a Nano SIM (4FF SIM) card into the designated slot. Ensure the SIM card is inserted correctly according to the diagram on the device or in the manual.
  3. Before inserting, ensure your SIM card's frequency is compatible with the device's supported bands (4G FDD LTE: B2/B4/B5; 3G UMTS: B2/B4).
  4. If your SIM card has a PIN, disable it using another device (e.g., a smartphone) before inserting it into the hotspot.

3.2 Powering On the Device

  1. Connect the RQG Portable USB WiFi Hotspot to a USB 2.0 port on a power source. This can be a computer, laptop, USB wall adapter (5V/1A recommended), car charger, or mobile power bank.
  2. The device will power on automatically. Observe the indicator light for status.

3.3 Initial WiFi Connection

  1. Once the device is powered on, it will broadcast a WiFi network.
  2. On your computer, smartphone, or tablet, search for available WiFi networks.
  3. Locate the network name (SSID) printed on the device (refer to Figure 2, e.g., SSID:4G-UFI-XXXXXX).
  4. Enter the default WiFi key (password) also printed on the device (e.g., key:12345678) to connect.
