3. Setup and First Ride

3.1 Unboxing and Assembly

Your EUYBIKE is designed for minimal assembly. Carefully remove all packaging materials. The main components are largely pre-assembled. You will typically need to:

  • Unfold the bike frame and secure the locking mechanisms.
  • Attach the front wheel.
  • Install the handlebars and adjust their position.
  • Attach the pedals (note left and right pedal threading).
  • Adjust the seat post height for comfortable riding.
  • Ensure all bolts and quick releases are securely tightened before riding.

3.2 Initial Battery Charge

Before your first ride, fully charge the battery. The 48V 25Ah lithium-ion battery can be charged either directly on the bike or removed for charging. A full charge typically takes 6 hours. Refer to the battery indicator on the LCD display for charge status.

4. Operating Your EUYBIKE

4.1 Riding Modes

Your EUYBIKE offers three distinct riding modes:

  • Electric Bike Mode: Utilizes the throttle for motor-only propulsion without pedaling.
  • Assist Bike Mode (Pedal Assist): The motor provides assistance as you pedal. The level of assistance can be adjusted via the LCD display.
  • Normal Bike Mode: The motor is off, and the bike operates like a traditional bicycle, relying solely on pedal power.

4.2 LCD Display Functions

The Color Big LCD display provides crucial ride information:

  • Current Speed
  • Battery Level Indicator
  • Total Mileage (Odometer)
  • Power Assist Level (PAS)
  • Headlight Status

The LCD display also features a USB charging port for your devices.

4.3 Controls

The handlebars are equipped with the following controls:

  • Hydraulic Disc Brake Levers: Located on both sides for front and rear braking.
  • Shimano 8-Speed Shifter: For changing gears to adapt to terrain and speed.
  • Twist-Grip Throttle: On the right handlebar for electric bike mode.
  • Electric Horn Button: For alerting others.
  • LCD Display Control Buttons: For power, mode selection, and adjusting assist levels.

5. Maintenance and Care

5.1 Battery Care

  • Charge the battery regularly, even if not in use, to maintain its health.
  • Avoid completely draining the battery before recharging.
  • Store the battery in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Use only the original charger provided with your EUYBIKE.

5.2 Tire Maintenance

  • Regularly check tire pressure and inflate to the recommended PSI (found on the tire sidewall).
