3. Setup
3.1 Battery Installation
The rangefinder requires one CR2-3V battery for operation.
- Locate the battery compartment on the side of the rangefinder.
- Open the battery compartment cover.
- Insert one CR2-3V battery, ensuring the correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.

Figure 3.1: Battery Compartment and Dimensions
The image displays the rangefinder's dimensions (11cm/4.3" length, 6.5cm/2.6" height, 3.8cm/1.5" width) and highlights the battery compartment requiring a CR2-3V battery.
3.2 Diopter Adjustment
To ensure a clear view through the eyepiece, adjust the diopter:
- Look through the eyepiece.
- Rotate the eyepiece knob (refer to Figure 2.1) until the display and the target appear sharp and clear.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Power On/Off
- Power On: Press the "Measuring Key/Start Key" once to turn on the device. The display will activate.
- Power Off: The device will automatically power off after a period of inactivity to conserve battery.
4.2 Switching Measurement Units (Meters/Yards)
To switch between meters (m) and yards (Yd):
- With the device powered on, long press the "Measurement Mode/Unit Switch" button.
- The unit displayed on the screen will change between 'm' and 'Yd'.
4.3 Measurement Modes
The rangefinder offers different modes for various measurement needs. Press the "Measurement Mode/Unit Switch" button (short press) to cycle through the available modes.
4.3.1 Golf Ballistic Compensation Mode
This mode provides compensated distance for uphill or downhill shots, along with the actual measured distance and angle data.
- Select the Golf Ballistic Compensation Mode using the "Measurement Mode/Unit Switch".
- Aim the crosshair at your target (e.g., a flagpole).
- Short press the "Measuring Key/Start Key" for a single measurement. The screen will display the measured distance, ballistic distance, and angle data.
- Long press the "Measuring Key/Start Key" to continuously measure, which is useful for scanning targets like flagpoles.

Figure 4.1: Golf Ballistic Compensation and Ranging Function
The top part of the image shows the Golf Ballistic Compensation Mode, displaying how the ballistic arc and distance are calculated. The bottom part illustrates the standard Ranging Function, showing a direct measured distance.
4.3.2 Ranging Function (Standard Distance Measurement)
This mode measures the direct line-of-sight distance to a target.
- Select the Ranging Function Mode using the "Measurement Mode/Unit Switch".
- Align the crosshair with the desired target.
- Short press the "Measuring Key/Start Key" to perform a single measurement. The actual measured distance will be displayed on the screen.
Refer to Figure 4.1 for a visual representation of the Ranging Function.
4.4 6X Telephoto Fixed Focus System
The rangefinder is equipped with a 6X fixed-focus optical telephoto system, providing a 7° field of view. The coated lens ensures a bright field of view and clearer observation of distant objects, enhancing measurement accuracy.

The top image demonstrates distance measurement to a construction crane, showing a reading of 150.0m. The bottom image illustrates a forestry survey, displaying a measurement of 281.0m to trees in a landscape.
5. Maintenance
- Cleaning Lenses: Use a soft, clean cloth specifically designed for optical lenses. Do not use abrasive materials or harsh chemicals.
- Cleaning Body: Wipe the body of the rangefinder with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid excessive moisture.
- Storage: Store the device in a cool, dry place when not in use. Remove the battery if storing for extended periods to prevent leakage.
- Water Resistance: The device is normally water-resistant, but it is not waterproof. Avoid submerging it in water or exposing it to heavy rain.
6. Troubleshooting
- Device not powering on:
- Check if the CR2-3V battery is inserted correctly with the right polarity.
- Replace the battery with a new one if it is depleted.
- Inaccurate readings or no display:
- Ensure the target is within the 5-600m range.
- Check if the lenses are clean and free from obstructions.
- Adjust the diopter for a clear view.
- Ensure there are no obstacles between the rangefinder and the target.
- Display is dim or flickering:
- The battery might be low. Replace it with a fresh CR2-3V battery.
