3. Product Features

The FOWORE Digital Security Safe Box incorporates several features designed for enhanced security and user convenience:

4. Setup

4.1 Initial Opening

For the first use, the safe must be opened using the emergency backup key. Locate the keyhole, insert the key, and turn it clockwise while simultaneously turning the knob clockwise to open the door.

IMPORTANT: Do not store the emergency backup keys inside the safe.

4.2 Battery Installation

The digital keypad requires batteries (not included). Open the battery compartment on the back of the keypad, insert the required batteries (typically 4 AA batteries), and close the compartment. Ensure correct polarity.

4.3 Setting Your Personal Code

Follow these steps to set your personal code (3 to 8 digits):

  1. With the safe door open, press the setting button located inside the door.
  2. Enter your desired 3-8 digit personal code on the keypad.
  3. Press the 'A/B' key to confirm. The indicator light will confirm successful programming.

To set a master password (if applicable, consult specific model instructions):

  1. Enter "00" on the keypad.
  2. Press the setting button inside the door.
  3. Enter your desired 1-8 digit master password.
  4. Press the 'A/B' key to confirm.

4.4 Mounting the Safe

For added security, the safe can be anchored to a wall or floor. Pre-drilled holes are provided on the bottom and back of the safe.

  1. Choose a suitable location for mounting.
  2. Mark the drilling points through the pre-drilled holes on the safe onto the wall or floor.
  3. Drill pilot holes at the marked positions.
  4. Align the safe with the drilled holes and secure it using the provided mounting screws.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Opening with Personal Code

  1. Enter your 3-8 digit personal code on the keypad.
  2. Turn the knob clockwise to open the safe door.

5.2 Opening with Emergency Key

In case of forgotten code or dead batteries, use the emergency key:

  1. Locate the emergency keyhole (often concealed).
  2. Insert the emergency key and turn it clockwise.
  3. Simultaneously turn the knob clockwise to open the safe door.

5.3 Mute Function

To operate the safe silently:

  • To turn on mute mode: Press "00A" on the keypad.
  • To turn off mute mode: Press "66A" on the keypad.

Note: When mute mode is active, normal keypad operations are silent, but the anti-theft alarm will still sound if an incorrect password is entered three times.

5.4 Anti-Theft Alarm System

The safe is equipped with an anti-theft alarm system. If an incorrect code is entered three consecutive times, the alarm will activate, and the safe will temporarily lock.

5.5 Low Battery Warning

When the green and red indicator lights on the keypad illuminate simultaneously, it indicates that the batteries are low. Replace the batteries immediately to ensure continued functionality.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Battery Replacement

When the low battery warning appears, replace the batteries promptly. Use new, high-quality batteries of the specified type (e.g., 4 AA batteries). Ensure the safe is open when replacing batteries to avoid being locked out.

6.2 Cleaning

Clean the exterior of the safe with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish. Do not allow water to enter the keypad or lock mechanism.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Safe does not open with code:
    a. Ensure batteries are not low. Replace if necessary.
    b. Re-enter the code carefully. Verify you are using the correct personal or master code.
    c. If the alarm has activated, wait for the alarm cycle to complete before attempting to open again.
  • Keypad is unresponsive:
    a. Check battery installation and replace batteries if needed.
    b. Ensure no debris is obstructing the buttons.
  • Alarm sounds unexpectedly:
    a. This indicates three incorrect code entries. Ensure only authorized users are attempting to access the safe.
    b. If the alarm sounds without interaction, check for loose wiring or contact customer support.
  • Forgotten Code:
    a. Use the emergency backup key to open the safe.
    b. Once open, reset your personal code following the instructions in Section 4.3.
