• Alert Speaker: Emits an audible alarm when a filter replacement is due.

5. Setup and Installation

5.1 Battery Installation

1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the AFLT4 device.
2. Open the battery compartment cover.
3. Insert the required batteries (e.g., 2x AAA batteries, not included) ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

5.2 Power On

Slide the ON/OFF switch, located on the side of the device, to the 'ON' position. The green Stand-by Indicator light should begin to blink, indicating the device is powered on and operating.

6. Operating Instructions

The AFLT4 timer tracks the lifespan of your RO system filters and alerts you when a replacement is needed.

6.1 Normal Operation

• The green Stand-by Indicator light will blink approximately every 30 seconds.
• All filter indicator lights (PP, GAC/CTO, RO, FT15/AK/UV) will remain off.

6.2 Filter Replacement Indication

• When a specific filter reaches the end of its programmed lifespan, its corresponding red indicator light will illuminate.
• The device will also emit an audible alarm approximately every 3 hours to remind you of the overdue filter change.

6.3 Filter Life Cycles and Resetting

The AFLT4 supports various filter life cycles. After replacing a filter, you must reset its corresponding timer:

1. PP Filters (Sediment Filter): Recommended replacement every 3 months. To reset, press and hold the 'RESET' button until the 'PP' indicator light turns off.
2. GAC/CTO Filters (Granular Activated Carbon / Carbon Block Filter): Recommended replacement every 6 months. To reset, press and hold the 'RESET' button until the 'GAC/CTO' indicator light turns off.
3. FT15/AK/UV Filters (Post Carbon / Alkaline / UV Filter): Recommended replacement every 12 months. To reset, press and hold the 'RESET' button until the 'FT15/AK/UV' indicator light turns off.
4. RO Membrane (Reverse Osmosis Membrane): Recommended replacement every 24 months. To reset, press and hold the 'RESET' button until the 'RO' indicator light turns off.

7. Maintenance

7.1 Cleaning

Wipe the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the device in water.

When the device's performance degrades or the green Stand-by Indicator stops blinking, it may be time to replace the batteries. Follow the battery installation steps in Section 5.1.
