4. Setup

4.1 Initial Charging

Before first use, fully charge the battery using a compatible LiFePO4 charger. Ensure the charger's voltage and current settings match the battery's requirements.

4.2 Connection Instructions

Connect the battery to your system using appropriate cables and connectors. Ensure all connections are secure and correctly polarized (positive to positive, negative to negative) to prevent damage.

4.3 Parallel and Series Connection

This LiFePO4 battery supports both parallel and series connections for increased capacity or voltage:

  • Parallel Connection: Connect batteries in parallel to increase total capacity while maintaining the same voltage. Ensure all batteries are at a similar state of charge before connecting.
  • Series Connection: Connect batteries in series to increase total voltage. For example, two 24V batteries in series will create a 48V system. The battery supports up to 4 parallel and 2 series connections (4P2S) to achieve a 48V (51.2V) 820Ah battery bank with a maximum energy of 41.98 kWh.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Bluetooth App Monitoring

The Oasesenergy LiFePO4 battery includes a built-in Bluetooth module, allowing real-time monitoring of battery data via a dedicated smartphone application. Download the Oasesenergy app from your device's app store.

  1. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone.
  2. Open the Oasesenergy app.
  3. The app will automatically detect nearby Oasesenergy batteries. Select your battery from the list.
  4. Monitor parameters such as State of Charge (SOC), voltage, current, and temperature. The Bluetooth range is typically 5-10 meters.

6. Maintenance

The Oasesenergy LiFePO4 battery requires minimal maintenance. Follow these guidelines for optimal performance and longevity:

  • Regular Inspection: Periodically check battery terminals for corrosion or loose connections. Clean terminals if necessary.
  • Storage: If storing the battery for an extended period, ensure it is charged to approximately 50-70% State of Charge (SOC) and stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Recharge every 3-6 months to prevent deep discharge.
  • Cleaning: Keep the battery casing clean and free from dust and debris. Use a dry cloth for cleaning.
  • Avoid Deep Discharge: While the BMS protects against over-discharge, it is best practice to avoid consistently discharging the battery to its absolute minimum to maximize cycle life.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Oasesenergy LiFePO4 battery, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • Battery Not Charging:
    • Check all cable connections between the charger and the battery.
    • Ensure the charger is powered on and functioning correctly.
    • Verify that the charger is compatible with LiFePO4 batteries and its voltage settings are correct.
    • Check the battery temperature; charging is disabled below 0°C (32°F).
  • Battery Not Discharging/No Power Output:
    • Check all cable connections to the load.
    • Verify the battery's State of Charge (SOC) using the Bluetooth app. The BMS will cut off discharge if the voltage is too low.
    • Ensure the load does not exceed the battery's maximum continuous discharge current (200A) or peak current.
