5.3 Downloading the Tuya Smart APP
Download the "Tuya Smart" application from your smartphone's app store (App Store for iOS or Google Play Store for Android). Install the app and create an account if you don't already have one.
5.4 Connecting to Wi-Fi
- Power on the camera.
- Open the Tuya Smart APP on your smartphone.
- Follow the in-app instructions to add a new device. Select "Security & Video Surveillance" and then "Smart Camera" or a similar option.
- Ensure your phone is connected to a 2.4GHz or 5GHz Wi-Fi network. The camera supports both bands.
- The app will guide you through connecting the camera to your Wi-Fi network. This usually involves scanning a QR code displayed on your phone with the camera lens or entering Wi-Fi credentials manually.
- Once connected, the camera will appear in your device list within the Tuya Smart APP, allowing for real-time viewing.

6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Real-Time Monitoring
Once connected to the Tuya Smart APP, you can access the live video feed from your camera at any time, from anywhere with an internet connection. Open the app and select your camera from the device list to view the real-time stream.

6.2 Motion Detection and Alerts
The camera is equipped with motion detection capabilities. When motion is detected, the camera will send an alarm notification to your smartphone via the Tuya Smart APP. You can then open the app to view the live feed or review recorded footage of the event.
To configure motion detection sensitivity and notification settings, navigate to the camera settings within the Tuya Smart APP.

With a micro SD card inserted, the camera will automatically record video footage. When the storage on the micro SD card is full, the loop recording function ensures that the newest files overwrite the oldest files, allowing for continuous recording without manual intervention.
You can access recorded videos through the playback function in the Tuya Smart APP.

7. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the camera lens and the frame. Avoid using liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
- Battery Care: For optimal battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. If storing the device for an extended period, charge it to about 50% and recharge every few months.
- Software Updates: Periodically check the Tuya Smart APP for any available firmware updates for your camera to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Placement: Place the camera in a stable indoor location, away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and high humidity.
8. Troubleshooting
8.1 Camera Not Connecting to Wi-Fi
- Ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz or 5GHz. The camera supports both.
- Check that your Wi-Fi password is entered correctly in the Tuya Smart APP.
- Place the camera closer to your Wi-Fi router to ensure a strong signal.
- Restart your Wi-Fi router and the camera.
- If issues persist, try resetting the camera using the reset button (refer to Figure 5.2 for location) and attempt the setup process again.
8.2 No Video Recording
- Ensure a micro SD card (8-64GB) is properly inserted into the slot.
- Check if the micro SD card is full. With loop recording enabled, older files should be overwritten. If not, format the card via the app settings (this will erase all data).
- Verify that the micro SD card is not faulty. Try using a different, known-good micro SD card.
8.3 Short Battery Life
- Ensure the camera is fully charged before use.
- Continuous live viewing or frequent motion detection events can drain the battery faster.
- For extended use, keep the camera connected to a power source via the USB charging cable.
8.4 No Audio Recording
- This camera model is designed without audio recording capabilities. This is a product feature, not a malfunction.
