Adhering to the following safety guidelines is crucial for preventing injury and damage to the equipment.

  • The rotor must always be securely fixed. If the centrifuge produces an abnormal sound during startup, indicating improper rotor fixation, press the "START / STOP" button immediately to halt operation.
  • Do not operate the centrifuge with damaged rotors (e.g., broken, scratched, corroded, rusted). Ensure the machine remains stationary during operation.
  • This instrument is designed for indoor use only.
  • Operating altitude should not exceed 2000 meters.
  • The recommended operating temperature range is +5°C to +40°C.
  • The applicable humidity range for the instrument is ≤80%.
  • Ensure the operating area is free from excessive vibration and airflow that could affect performance.
  • The machine features a vibration protection function: if vibration exceeds a safe range during operation, power will automatically cut off to protect samples and the unit.
  • A dual electronic lock design ensures the machine lid automatically unlocks only at the completion of an experiment.

  • Dual E-lock: Enhances safety by preventing the lid from opening during operation.
  • Visual Window: Allows observation of the rotor during centrifugation.
  • External Circulation Heat Emission Hole: Facilitates cooling and prevents overheating.
  • Operation Panel: Intuitive interface for setting parameters.
  • Angle Rotor: Multi-specification rotor for various tube sizes.
  • Emergency Switch: For immediate power cut-off if needed.

5. Setup

Before initial use, ensure the centrifuge is placed on a stable, level surface away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit to allow for proper heat dissipation.

Rotor Installation and Tube Compatibility

The centrifuge is equipped with a rotor that accommodates various tube sizes using specific adapters.

Diagram illustrating the rotor capacity and adapter usage for 50ml, 15ml, 10ml, 5ml, and 2ml centrifuge and vacuum collection tubes.

Image: Rotor capacity and tube adapter configurations.

  • 50ml Centrifuge Tubes: Can be used directly in the rotor (up to 6 tubes).
  • 15ml/10ml/5ml Centrifuge Tubes: Require appropriate adapters for secure placement (up to 6 tubes).
  • 2ml/5ml/10ml Vacuum Collection Tubes: Require specific adapters for proper fit (up to 6 tubes).

Always ensure tubes are balanced symmetrically in the rotor before centrifugation to prevent vibration and potential damage to the machine. Securely fix the rotor and close the lid before initiating any operation.

6. Operating Instructions

Basic Operation

  1. Place balanced tubes into the rotor, ensuring they are securely seated.
  2. Close the lid firmly. The dual E-lock mechanism will engage automatically.
  3. Press the 'MENU' key (2) to access the parameter settings. Use the Increment (3) and Decrement (4) keys to adjust the desired speed (RPM) and centrifugation time.
  4. Press the 'START/STOP' key (5) to begin the centrifugation cycle.
  5. Once the cycle is complete, the machine will automatically unlock the lid. Press the 'OPEN' key (6) to open the lid and retrieve your samples.

7. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your centrifuge. Always disconnect the power supply before performing any maintenance.

  • Cleaning: Wipe the exterior and rotor cavity with a soft, damp cloth after each use. A mild detergent can be used if necessary. Avoid abrasive cleaners, solvents, or harsh chemicals that could damage the surfaces.
  • Rotor Care: Periodically inspect the rotor for any signs of damage, such as cracks, scratches, or corrosion. A damaged rotor must be replaced immediately to ensure safe operation.
  • Ventilation: Ensure that the ventilation holes on the centrifuge are clear of dust and debris to maintain proper cooling and prevent overheating.
  • Storage: When not in use, store the centrifuge in a dry, clean, and temperature-controlled environment.
