Setup Instructions

The Guamar External DVD Drive is designed for simple plug-and-play operation. Follow these steps to connect and begin using your device.

Connecting the Drive:

  1. Locate an available USB 3.0 or Type-C port on your computer (laptop, MacBook, iMac, or desktop PC).
  2. Connect the integrated USB cable from the external DVD drive directly into your computer's USB port. For Type-C ports, use the appropriate connector on the integrated cable.
  3. The drive will be automatically recognized by your operating system. No additional drivers are typically needed.
  4. If your computer's USB port cannot provide sufficient power, connect the included USB power cable to the micro USB port on the drive and to another USB power source (e.g., a wall adapter or another USB port on your computer).

Inserting a Disc:

  1. Press the eject button on the front of the drive to open the disc tray.

Using the USB Hub and Card Reader:

  • The two standard USB ports allow you to connect USB devices such as flash drives, keyboards, or mice.
