General Safety Warnings
- Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety goggles, gloves, and hearing protection, when operating the chainsaw.
- Ensure the work area is clear of bystanders, especially children and pets.
- Keep hands and body parts away from the chain when the tool is powered on.

3. Product Overview
Familiarize yourself with the components of your Zeeksaw Mini Electric Chainsaw.

- Guide Bar: Supports the saw chain.
- Safety Cover: Protects the user from debris and the moving chain.
- Sprocket Cover: Encloses the drive sprocket and chain tensioning mechanism.

4. Setup Instructions
4.1 Battery Installation (Battery Not Included)
This chainsaw is compatible with De-walt 18-21V MAX batteries. Ensure the battery is fully charged before use.
- Align the battery with the battery slot on the chainsaw handle.
- Slide the battery into the slot until it clicks securely into place.
- To remove, press the battery release button and slide the battery out.

4.2 Chain and Guide Bar Installation
The chainsaw comes with both 4-inch and 6-inch guide bars and chains. Choose the appropriate size for your task.
- Remove the sprocket cover by loosening the chain guard lock button.
- Assemble the saw chain onto the guide bar, ensuring the cutting edges face the correct direction (refer to the diagram).
- Place the chain around the drive sprocket and ensure the guide bar lines up with the pin.
- Adjust the chain tension using the chain tension knob. The chain should be snug but still able to be pulled freely by hand.
- Tighten the nut with the provided screwdriver to secure the sprocket cover and guide bar.

4.3 Oiling the Chain
The chainsaw features an automatic oiler system. Ensure the oil reservoir is filled with appropriate chain lubricant before each use.
- Locate the oil reservoir cap on the top of the chainsaw body.
- Unscrew the cap and carefully fill the reservoir with chain and bar oil using the provided empty oil bottle. Do not overfill.
- Securely replace the cap.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Pre-Operation Checklist
- Ensure the battery is fully charged and securely installed.
- Verify the chain is correctly installed and tensioned.
- Check that the oil reservoir is filled.
- Confirm all safety features, such as the splash guard, are in place and functional.
- Wear all recommended PPE.
5.2 Starting and Stopping the Chainsaw
- To start: Press and hold the security button, then press the switch button.
- To stop: Release the switch button. The chain will stop quickly.
5.3 Cutting Techniques
- Maintain a firm grip on the chainsaw with one hand, ensuring your other hand is free to stabilize the material if needed.
- Allow the chainsaw to reach full speed before engaging the material.
- Apply steady, even pressure. Do not force the saw through the material.
- For larger branches, make relief cuts to prevent pinching the guide bar.
- Avoid cutting branches thicker than the guide bar length to prevent the saw from getting stuck.

5.4 Safety Features
- Dual Protection Switch: Prevents accidental startup by requiring both the security button and switch button to be pressed.
- 90° Splash Guard: Shields the user from dust and debris during operation.

6. Maintenance
6.1 Cleaning
- After each use, remove the battery.
- Use a brush or compressed air to remove sawdust, chips, and debris from the guide bar, chain, and motor housing.
- Wipe down the exterior with a damp cloth. Do not use solvents.
6.2 Chain Care
- Regularly check the chain tension and adjust as needed (refer to Section 4.2).
- Keep the chain sharp. A dull chain can cause kickback and reduce cutting efficiency. Sharpen or replace the chain when it becomes dull.
- Ensure the automatic oiler system is always filled with appropriate chain lubricant.
6.3 Storage
- Store the chainsaw in its carrying case in a dry, secure location, out of reach of children.
- Remove the battery before storing for extended periods.
