2. Safety Information

  • Always handle glass panels with care. Tempered glass is designed to shatter into small, less harmful pieces if broken, but sharp edges can still occur. Wear appropriate safety gear, including gloves and eye protection, during installation.
  • Ensure the installation area is clear of obstructions. Keep children and pets away during assembly.
  • The product is heavy (approximately 141.7 pounds). Use proper lifting techniques or seek assistance to prevent injury.
  • Do not modify the product or use non-original parts, as this may compromise safety and void any potential warranty.

5. Setup and Installation

Carefully follow these steps for proper assembly and installation. It is recommended to have at least two people for installation due to the weight and size of the door panels.

  1. Prepare the Opening: Ensure your door opening measures 72 inches wide by 80 inches high. The surface above the opening must be structurally sound to support the top track and door weight.
  2. Install the Top Track: Securely mount the top track above the door opening using appropriate fasteners for your wall type. Ensure the track is level.
  3. Attach Rollers to Door Panels: Attach the four top connectors (rollers) to the top edge of each door panel. Ensure they are firmly secured.

  1. Hang the Door Panels: Carefully lift each door panel and engage the rollers into the top track. Ensure both panels are correctly seated and can slide freely.
  2. Install the Fascia: Mount the fascia piece to cover the top track. This provides a finished look and helps prevent dust accumulation on the track.
  3. Position and Adjust the Floor Guide: Place the adjustable floor guide on the floor beneath the door panels. Adjust its position to ensure the door panels remain stable and aligned during sliding, preventing them from swinging out. Secure the floor guide to the floor.
  4. Install Door Pulls: Attach the door pulls to the desired location on each panel. Note: Some door pulls may require chiseling a recess into the door panel for flush installation. If you are not comfortable with this, consider alternative surface-mount door pulls.

6. Operation

To open or close the door, gently slide the panel along the top track using the installed door pulls. Avoid forcing the door. The bypass design allows one door panel to slide in front of the other, providing access to either side of the opening. The frosted glass provides privacy while allowing natural light to pass through.

7. Maintenance

  • Glass Cleaning: Clean glass surfaces with a soft, damp cloth and a mild glass cleaner. Avoid abrasive cleaners, harsh chemicals, or scouring pads that could scratch or damage the frosted finish. The frosted glass is designed to be stain-resistant and easy to clean.
  • Frame Cleaning: Wipe down engineered wood frames with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth. Do not use excessive moisture, which can damage the wood material.
  • Track and Roller Maintenance: Periodically check the top track and rollers for dust, debris, or pet hair. Clean as needed to ensure smooth and quiet operation. A vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment can be effective.
  • Hardware Inspection: Inspect all hardware connections, including screws for the track, rollers, and floor guide, for tightness. Tighten any loose screws to maintain stability and safety.

8. Troubleshooting

  • Door does not slide smoothly: Check the top track for obstructions or debris. Ensure rollers are clean and properly seated in the track. Verify the floor guide is correctly adjusted and not impeding movement.
  • Door panels are misaligned: Adjust the rollers or floor guide as necessary to ensure proper alignment and smooth bypass operation. Ensure the top track is level.
  • Unusual odor: Some new products, especially those made with engineered wood, may emit a temporary odor upon unboxing. Ensure adequate ventilation in the room. The odor should dissipate over time. If the odor persists or is unusually strong, contact customer support.
  • Gap between door panels: Ensure panels are fully closed. Check for proper installation and alignment of the track and floor guide. Minor gaps may be inherent to bypass door designs.
