3. Setup

3.1 Initial Charging

Before first use, fully charge the camera using the provided USB cable. Connect the cable to the camera's USB port and a standard USB power adapter (not included). The indicator light will show charging status and turn off or change color when fully charged.

3.2 Micro SD Card Installation

Insert a Micro SD card (up to 256GB, Class 10 or higher recommended) into the Micro SD Card Slot with the gold contacts facing down. Ensure it clicks into place. The camera supports local storage even without an internet connection.

3.3 App Download and Installation

Search for the recommended companion application on your smartphone's app store (iOS or Android). Install the application and create an account if prompted.

3.4 Connecting the Camera

The camera offers three connection methods:

  1. Way 1: Plug & Play (No WiFi Network)

    Insert a Micro SD card into the camera. Turn on the camera. It will automatically begin recording to the SD card. To view footage, remove the SD card and insert it into a computer or compatible device.

  2. Way 2: AP Mode (No WiFi Network)

    Turn on the camera. The camera will broadcast its own Wi-Fi hotspot. Connect your smartphone directly to this hotspot. Open the app to view live footage within the camera's Wi-Fi range. This mode does not require an external router or internet access.

  3. Way 3: Remote Access (Requires WiFi Router)

    Turn on the camera. Open the app and follow the in-app instructions to connect the camera to your home or office Wi-Fi network (2.4GHz only). Once connected, you can access the camera remotely from anywhere with an internet connection via the app.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Power On/Off

Slide the ON/OFF switch to the 'ON' position to power on the camera. Slide it to 'OFF' to power off.

4.2 Recording Modes

  • Continuous Recording: When an SD card is inserted and the camera is powered on, it will typically record continuously until the card is full. Older footage may be overwritten.
  • Motion-Activated Recording: Enable this feature in the app. The camera will only record when motion is detected, saving storage space and battery life.
  • Timing Video: Schedule specific times for the camera to record via the app settings.

4.3 Remote Viewing

Once connected via Way 3 (Remote Access), open the companion app on your smartphone. Select your camera from the device list to view live video feed, take snapshots, or initiate manual recordings.

4.4 Accessing Stored Footage

  • Via App: In Remote Access mode, use the app's playback feature to review recordings stored on the Micro SD card.
  • Directly from SD Card: Remove the Micro SD card from the camera and insert it into a computer or card reader to access video files directly.

5. Motion Detection

The camera features advanced AI motion detection. When enabled, it will detect movement within its field of view and can trigger alerts to your smartphone and initiate recording.

  • Camera not powering on: Ensure the battery is fully charged. Connect the camera to a power source and try again. Check the ON/OFF switch position.
  • Cannot connect to Wi-Fi:
    • Ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz. This camera does not support 5GHz networks.
    • Check your Wi-Fi password for accuracy.
    • Move the camera closer to the Wi-Fi router.
    • Reset the camera using the reset button and attempt connection again.
  • No recording to SD card:
    • Ensure the Micro SD card is inserted correctly and fully.
    • Verify the SD card is not full. Format the card if necessary (this will erase all data).
    • Check if the SD card is damaged or incompatible. Try a different, high-quality Class 10 Micro SD card.
  • Poor video quality:
    • Ensure the camera lens is clean and free from obstructions.
    • Check your internet connection speed if viewing remotely.
    • Ensure adequate lighting in the monitored area, especially for optimal daytime recording.
  • Motion detection not working:
    • Verify motion detection is enabled in the app settings.
    • Adjust motion detection sensitivity.
    • Ensure the camera has a clear view of the area you wish to monitor.

9. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the camera lens and body. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
