2. Important Safety Information

- Do not block the sensor opening. Ensure the detector is placed in an area where air can freely circulate to the sensor.

5. Setup
5.1. Charging the Device

5.2. Initial Power On

6. Operating Instructions
6.1. Power On/Off
- To Power On: Press and hold the power button (⏻) for approximately 2 seconds.
- To Power Off: Press and hold the power button (⏻) for approximately 2 seconds.
6.2. Adjusting Brightness
The device offers three brightness levels for its display: dark, moderate, and bright.
- Press the brightness adjustment button (💡) repeatedly to cycle through the available brightness settings.
6.3. Adjusting Sound/Alarm
You can enable or disable the device's audible alarms.
- Press the sound/alarm toggle button (🔊) to switch the sound on or off.
- When the sound is turned off, all alarm sounds will also be deactivated. This allows for use in quiet environments without disturbance.
6.4. Auto-Off Function
The detector is designed with an auto-off function that automatically shuts off after 5 minutes of inactivity to conserve battery life.
- To disable the auto-off function for continuous monitoring, press and hold the power button (⏻) for an extended period (longer than 2 seconds for power on/off) until a specific indicator appears or the device confirms continuous mode. Refer to the on-screen prompts for confirmation.
- For continuous monitoring over extended periods, it is recommended to connect the device to a mobile power source via the Type-C cable.
7. Understanding Carbon Monoxide Levels and Alarms
The detector provides both visual and audible indications of CO concentration. The color bar on the display changes, and a buzzer sounds at specific PPM levels.

- <35 ppm (Green / Good): Only the color bar flashes slowly. The air quality is considered good.
- 35-50 ppm (Yellow / Slight): The color bar flashes slowly, indicating a slight CO presence.
- 51-200 ppm (Orange / Moderate): The color bar flashes slowly, and the buzzer will sound "BB...BB..." twice. Ventilation is required.
- >200 ppm (Red / Serious): The color bar flashes slowly, and the buzzer will sharply sound "BBB...BBB..." twice. This indicates a dangerous level of CO requiring immediate action.
Note: If the sound is switched off, the buzzer will also be switched off.
8. Testing the Device
To safely test the functionality of your Neoteck CO Detector and observe changes in CO values, you can use the following methods:
- Cigarette Smoke: CO is present in cigarette smoke. Exposing the detector to cigarette smoke will show value changes on the display.
- Incompletely Burned Wood: Place the detector near incompletely burned wood (e.g., smoldering embers from a campfire or fireplace) to observe changes in CO levels.
Always perform tests in a well-ventilated area and avoid prolonged exposure to high CO concentrations during testing.
9. Maintenance
9.1. Charging
Regularly charge the device to ensure optimal performance. Refer to Section 5.1 for detailed charging instructions.
9.2. Cleaning
To maintain the detector's accuracy and longevity:
- Wipe the exterior of the device with a soft, dry cloth.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the device or interfere with sensor operation.
- Ensure no liquids enter the device, especially near the sensor opening.
10. Troubleshooting
10.1. Detector always shows "0"
Under normal circumstances, there is no toxic CO gas in the air, so the detector will display a value of "0" most of the time. It will only show values in certain situations where CO is present. Common sources of CO include:
- Home Heating: Devices using gas, wood, or coal can emit CO if combustion is incomplete.
- Car Exhaust: CO can build up in a closed garage or car with prolonged engine use.
- Cooking: Gas stoves with poor ventilation or malfunctions can produce CO.
- Smoking: Indoor smoking elevates CO levels.
If you suspect CO is present but the device shows "0", ensure the device is functioning correctly by performing a safe test (see Section 8).
10.2. Alarm sounds unexpectedly
- Check for any potential sources of CO in the vicinity.
- Ensure adequate ventilation in the area.
- If the alarm persists and no obvious CO source is found, move to fresh air and contact emergency services if you experience symptoms of CO poisoning.
