6. Operating Considerations

After installing the Truxxx lift kit, your vehicle's center of gravity will be higher. This may affect handling characteristics, especially during cornering or emergency maneuvers. Drive cautiously until you become accustomed to the vehicle's new dynamics.

The kit allows for the installation of 33-inch tall tires on a stock offset style wheel (+10-15mm). Ensure any new tires and wheels are properly balanced and do not cause rubbing issues.

7. Maintenance

  • Post-Installation Check: After the first 500 miles (800 km) of driving, re-check the torque on all fasteners installed or loosened during the lift kit installation.
  • Regular Inspection: Periodically inspect all suspension components, including the lift kit parts, for wear, damage, or loose fasteners.
  • Alignment: Maintain proper wheel alignment as recommended by your vehicle manufacturer, especially after any significant suspension work or if uneven tire wear is observed.

8. Troubleshooting

  • Uneven Ride Height: Double-check that all spacers and brackets are correctly installed and seated. Ensure proper spring orientation.
  • Poor Handling/Steering Issues: This is often a sign of incorrect alignment. Ensure a professional alignment has been performed using the provided specifications.
  • Noise from Suspension: Re-check all fasteners for proper torque. Inspect for any components rubbing or interfering with each other.
  • Tire Rubbing: Verify tire size and wheel offset. Adjust steering stops if necessary, or consider different wheel/tire combinations.
