2. Safety Instructions

Please read all safety instructions carefully before operating the dehumidifier to prevent injury or damage. Keep this manual for future reference.

  • Ensure the power supply matches the specifications listed on the unit's rating label.
  • Do not operate the unit with a damaged cord or plug.
  • Always unplug the dehumidifier before cleaning, moving, or performing any maintenance.
  • Do not block the air inlet or outlet. Maintain at least 20 cm clearance from walls or furniture.
  • Do not use the unit in areas where flammable gases or liquids are stored.
  • Keep children and pets away from the unit during operation.
  • Do not insert fingers or objects into the air vents.
  • Ensure the water tank is correctly installed before operation.
  • Do not tilt the unit more than 45 degrees when moving.

4. Setup

Follow these steps to set up your dehumidifier:

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the dehumidifier from its packaging. Retain the packaging materials for future storage or transport.
  2. Placement: Place the unit on a flat, stable surface in the desired room. Ensure there is at least 20 cm (8 inches) of space around the unit for proper airflow. The recommended room size for optimal performance is 20-30 square meters.
  3. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet.
  4. Drainage Option:
    • Water Tank (Default): Ensure the 4.5-liter water tank is securely in place. The unit will automatically shut off when the tank is full.
    • Continuous Drainage: For continuous operation without emptying the tank, connect the included drainage hose to the continuous drainage port at the back of the unit. Route the hose to a floor drain or a larger container, ensuring it is sloped downwards for gravity drainage.

5. Operating Instructions

Operating your Herrselsam Dehumidifier is straightforward:

  1. Power On/Off: Press the POWER button to turn the unit on or off.
  2. Setting Humidity: In dehumidification mode, press the ADJ (Adjust) button to set your desired humidity level. The range is 30% to 80% Relative Humidity (RH). The unit will operate until the set humidity is reached, then cycle on/off to maintain it.
  3. Mode Selection: Press the MODE button to cycle through available modes:
    • Dehumidification Mode: Standard operation to reduce humidity.
    • Drying Mode (Laundry): Optimized for drying clothes, providing continuous strong airflow.
    • Sleep Mode: Operates at a lower fan speed for quieter operation.
  4. Fan Speed: Press the FAN button to switch between high and low fan speeds.
  5. Timer Function: Press the TIMER button to set an auto-on or auto-off time from 1 to 24 hours. Each press increases the time by one hour.
  6. Child Lock: Press and hold the LOCK button for 3 seconds to activate or deactivate the child lock, preventing accidental changes to settings.
  7. Swing Function: Press the SWING button to activate or deactivate the automatic air outlet swing function, which helps distribute dry air more evenly.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your dehumidifier.

  • Emptying the Water Tank: When the water tank is full, the unit will beep and stop operating. Carefully remove the tank, empty the collected water, and reinsert it securely.
  • Cleaning the Air Filter: The air filter should be cleaned every two weeks or more frequently depending on usage and air quality. Remove the filter from the back of the unit, wash it with warm, soapy water, rinse thoroughly, and allow it to air dry completely before reinserting.
  • Cleaning the Unit Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the dehumidifier with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Storage: If storing the unit for an extended period, ensure the water tank is empty and clean, and the filter is clean and dry. Store the unit upright in a cool, dry place.
