4. Setup
4.1 Charging the Battery
- Ensure the battery is securely inserted into the charger.
- Plug the charger into a standard electrical outlet.
- The charging indicator light on the charger will show the charging status. Refer to the charger's specific instructions for light indications.
- Once fully charged, disconnect the charger from the power outlet and remove the battery.
Note: For optimal battery life, fully charge the battery before first use. Do not store the battery in extreme temperatures.
4.2 Installing/Removing the Battery Pack
- To install, align the battery pack with the base of the drill handle and slide it in until it clicks securely into place.
- To remove, press the battery release buttons (located on the sides of the battery pack) and slide the battery out.
4.3 Installing/Removing Drill Bits or Screwdriver Bits
- Ensure the drill is off and the forward/reverse switch is in the center (locked) position.
- Twist the front collar of the keyless chuck counter-clockwise to open the chuck jaws.
- Insert the desired drill bit or screwdriver bit into the chuck, ensuring it is seated as deeply as possible.
- Twist the front collar of the chuck clockwise to tighten the jaws firmly around the bit. Hand-tighten only.
- To remove a bit, twist the front collar counter-clockwise and pull the bit out.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Powering On/Off
The drill is powered on by pressing the variable speed trigger switch and powered off by releasing it.
5.2 Selecting Speed
The drill features a two-speed gearbox. Use the speed selector switch located on top of the drill:
- Position 1 (Low Speed, 0-400 RPM): Ideal for driving screws and applications requiring higher torque.
- Position 2 (High Speed, 0-1400 RPM): Suitable for drilling holes and applications requiring faster rotation.
Always select the appropriate speed before starting the operation.
5.3 Adjusting Torque (Clutch Setting)
The torque adjustment ring is located behind the chuck. Rotate the ring to select one of the 25 torque settings or the drill mode setting:
- Settings 1-25: Lower numbers provide less torque, suitable for smaller screws and softer materials to prevent stripping. Higher numbers provide more torque for larger screws and harder materials.
- Drill Symbol Setting: This setting bypasses the clutch and provides maximum torque for drilling applications.
Start with a lower torque setting and increase it as needed to avoid overtightening or damaging the workpiece.

5.4 Forward/Reverse Operation
The forward/reverse switch is located above the trigger. Push the switch to the left for forward rotation (for screwing) and to the right for reverse rotation (for removing screws). When the switch is in the center position, the trigger is locked, preventing accidental startup.

5.5 Drilling and Driving Techniques
- Drilling: Select the drill mode (drill symbol on the torque ring) and the appropriate speed. Apply steady, even pressure.
- Driving Screws: Select a torque setting appropriate for the screw size and material. Use low speed for better control.
- Flexible Shaft: Attach the flexible shaft to the chuck for accessing screws or drilling in tight spaces.
6. Maintenance
6.1 Cleaning
Regularly clean the ventilation openings of the drill to prevent overheating. Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe down the tool. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
6.2 Battery Care and Storage
- Store batteries in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Do not store batteries in temperatures below -10ยฐC (14ยฐF), as this can prevent charging and damage the battery cells. If exposed to cold, allow the battery to warm up to room temperature before attempting to charge or use.
- For long-term storage, charge the battery to approximately 50% capacity.
- Do not dispose of batteries in fire or water. Recycle them according to local regulations.
