2. Setup Guide

Follow these steps to set up your Smart Video Doorbell for the first time.

2.1 Powering the Doorbell

  1. Open the battery compartment of the doorbell machine.
  2. Insert the 3xAAA batteries provided, ensuring correct polarity.
  3. Close the battery compartment securely.

2.2 Powering the Indoor Chime (Ding-dong Machine)

  • Connect the indoor chime to a USB DC5V/2A power source using a standard USB cable (not included).
  • Ensure the chime powers on, indicated by a light or sound.

2.3 App Installation and Pairing

  1. Download the companion mobile application (e.g., "Kement App" as mentioned in product features) from your smartphone's app store.
  2. Open the app and create an account or log in.
  3. Follow the in-app instructions to add a new device. This typically involves scanning a QR code on the doorbell or entering a device ID.
  4. Connect the doorbell to your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. Note: 5G Wi-Fi networks are not supported.
  5. Once connected, the doorbell and chime should be paired automatically or can be manually paired through the app settings.

2.4 Installation Location

  • Choose a location near your door that provides a clear view of visitors and is within range of your Wi-Fi network.
  • Use the provided adhesive to mount the doorbell securely to a clean, flat surface.
  • Ensure the doorbell is positioned at an appropriate height for optimal viewing.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Answering the Doorbell

  1. When a visitor presses the doorbell button, your indoor chime will ring, and you will receive a notification on your smartphone via the app.
  2. Open the app to view the live video feed of the visitor.
  3. To communicate, use the two-way audio feature within the app. Speak into your phone's microphone, and the visitor will hear you through the doorbell's speaker.
  4. To end the call, tap the appropriate button in the app.

3.2 Night Vision

The doorbell automatically switches to infrared night vision mode in low-light conditions, providing clear black-and-white video footage.

3.3 Photo Capture and Cloud Storage

The doorbell is designed to automatically capture photos of visiting guests when the doorbell button is pressed. These photos are then uploaded to the cloud for later review. Ensure your app settings allow for cloud storage and access.

3.4 Remote Monitoring

You can access the doorbell's live feed at any time through the app, even if no one has pressed the doorbell. This allows for proactive monitoring of your front door.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Cleaning

  • Wipe the doorbell's exterior with a soft, damp cloth.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as they may damage the finish.
  • Ensure the camera lens is clean for optimal video quality.

4.2 Battery Replacement

The doorbell machine is powered by 3xAAA batteries. When the battery level is low, you may receive a notification via the app. Replace the batteries promptly to ensure continuous operation.

5. Troubleshooting
