Installation Guide

This section provides detailed instructions for the proper installation of your mini split air conditioner. While a DIY installation kit is included, professional installation is recommended for electrical wiring and refrigerant optimization to ensure peak performance and safety.

1. Preparation Before Installation

Ensure you have all necessary tools and materials as outlined in the package contents. Select an appropriate installation location for both the indoor and outdoor units, free from heat sources, steam, obstructions, smoke, oil, or flammable/corrosive gases. The indoor unit wall should be hard, flat, and firm to prevent vibration and noise. Maintain minimum clearances: >15cm to ceiling, >20cm to side obstacles, and 230-260cm from the floor.

2. Indoor Unit Installation

Fix the mounting plate securely to the wall using expansion screw kits, ensuring it is horizontal with at least 5 screws. Drill a wall hole for piping, inclined outward by 5-10 degrees, with a diameter of 60-80mm. Avoid wires, plumbing, and gas lines. Connect the power cable to the terminal board, fixing it with a clamp. Remove the knock-out panel for piping, ensuring no burrs. Connect the refrigerant piping and drain hose, securing the drain hose with adhesive tape. Wrap all piping, wires, and the drain pipe with wrapping tape. Mount the indoor unit onto the mounting plate, pushing the lower part until a 'click' sound is heard. Install a pipe protecting ring and seal with putty around the wall hole.

3. Outdoor Unit Installation

Install the outdoor unit bracket on a firm, flat surface, ensuring it is horizontal and vertical using a level. Use at least 6 expansion bolts for secure fixation. Place the outdoor unit onto the brackets and fix it using 4 screws. Connect the refrigerant piping to the outdoor unit's stop valves. Remove the nuts from the stop valves, aim at the pipe center, tighten the taper nut with fingers, then use two wrenches for final tightening. Refer to the torque table for specific pipe sizes. Fix the cables to the terminal board according to the wiring diagram inside the electrical box cover. Before vacuuming, ensure all nuts on both indoor and outdoor units are tightened. Connect the vacuum pump and manifold valve as shown in the diagram. Vacuum for at least 15 minutes until the pressure gauge reads ≤0.1MPa. After vacuuming, maintain pressure for 3-5 minutes; the pressure springback should be ≤0.05MPa. Open the 1/4 liquid valve and remove the charging hose. Open all liquid and gas valves, then screw all caps and tighten them up.
