The Atlas features a durable PC plastic body, a protective nylon roll cage, a reliable metal frame, and a full set of ball bearings, ensuring it can confidently traverse various terrains. This manual provides essential information for setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.

Safety Information

WARNING:

  • This product requires completion by the user.
  • Requires 4 x AA Batteries for the Transmitter (not included).
  • Requires a Battery for the Kit (not included). Recommended: 2S LIPO 5000mAh XT60 plug. Maximum: 3S 5000mAh XT60 plug.
  • Always ensure proper battery polarity and connection.
  • Keep fingers, hair, and loose clothing away from moving parts.
  • Operate in open areas away from people, pets, and obstacles.
  • Not suitable for children under 17 years of age without adult supervision.

Setup

1. Install Transmitter Batteries

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the remote control transmitter.
  2. Open the battery cover.
  3. Insert 4 x AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
  4. Close the battery cover securely.

2. Install Vehicle Battery

  1. Carefully lift the front body shell of the crawler. The shell features a quick-release structure for easy access.
  2. Locate the battery compartment within the chassis.
  3. Connect your recommended 2S LIPO 5000mAh (or max 3S 5000mAh) battery with an XT60 plug to the vehicle's ESC (Electronic Speed Controller).
  4. Secure the battery within the compartment.
  5. Gently lower and secure the body shell back into place.

3. Attach Spare Tire (Optional)

  1. The Atlas comes with a removable spare tire. To attach it, locate the spare tire mount on the rear bed of the crawler.
  2. Align the spare tire with the mount and secure it using the provided hardware (e.g., screw and wrench).

Operating Instructions

1. Power On

  • Turn on the remote control transmitter first. The indicator light should illuminate.
  • Then, turn on the power switch on the RC crawler. The vehicle's lights should activate, and it should bind with the transmitter automatically.

2. Basic Controls (2.4GHz Radio System)

The independent 4-channel remote control allows for precise operation:

  • Steering Wheel: Turn left or right to control the direction of the crawler.
  • Throttle Trigger: Pull to accelerate forward, push to brake or reverse.
  • Channel Buttons: Use the buttons on the transmitter to control additional functions such as light switching.

The Atlas can reach speeds up to 15 km/h with a remote control distance of 80 meters.

3. Driving Tips

  • The 120mm all-terrain tires with deep tread provide excellent grip on various surfaces.
  • The high-performance four-link suspension system allows for strong climbing ability and reliability over uneven terrain.
  • The powerful 35T 550 motor provides high torque for crawling.
  • Practice in an open area to get accustomed to the controls before attempting challenging obstacles.
  • The crawler is equipped with headlights for visibility, even at night.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: After each use, especially in dusty or muddy conditions, clean the crawler with a soft brush or compressed air to remove dirt and debris. Avoid using water directly on electronic components.
  • Lubrication: Periodically check moving parts, such as gears and bearings, for smooth operation. Apply appropriate RC-grade lubricant if necessary. The full set of metal ball bearings ensures smooth operation.
  • Inspections: Regularly inspect all screws, nuts, and connections to ensure they are tight. Check the tires for wear and tear.
  • Battery Care: Always disconnect the battery from the crawler when not in use. Store batteries in a cool, dry place and follow manufacturer guidelines for charging and discharging.
  • Body Care: The PC plastic body can be cleaned with a damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals that may damage the paint or material.

Troubleshooting
