Before each use, perform a leak test:
- Mix a solution of equal parts liquid dish soap and water.
- Ensure all heater control knobs are in the OFF position.
- Open the propane tank valve slowly.
- Apply the soapy solution to all gas connections. Bubbles indicate a leak.
- If a leak is detected, close the propane tank valve immediately and do not operate the heater. Tighten connections and re-test. If the leak persists, contact customer support.
6.2 Ignition
- Ensure the heater is securely mounted on the propane tank and the tank valve is open.
- Turn one of the heater control knobs to the "LOW" position.
- Immediately apply a long-stem lighter or match to the burner screen.
- Once ignited, hold the knob in for a few seconds, then release.
- Repeat for the second burner if desired.
- If the burner does not ignite within 5 seconds, turn the control knob to OFF, wait 5 minutes for gas to dissipate, and repeat the ignition process.

6.4 Shutting Down
- Turn the control knobs on the heater to the OFF position.
- Close the valve on the propane tank.
- Allow the heater to cool completely before handling or storing.

7. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your heater.
- Cleaning: Ensure the heater is cool before cleaning. Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe down exterior surfaces. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Storage: When not in use, disconnect the heater from the propane tank. Store the heater in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture.
- Inspection: Periodically inspect the gas hose and connections for any signs of wear, cracks, or damage. Replace damaged parts immediately.

| Low heat output. | Low propane level, regulator issue, control knob set too low. | Check propane tank level. Adjust control knob to a higher setting. Ensure regulator is properly connected. |
| Gas odor detected. | Gas leak. | Immediately turn off propane tank valve and heater control knobs. Perform a leak test. Do not operate if leak persists. |
| Heater shuts off unexpectedly. | Tip-over safety switch activated, low propane, strong wind. | Ensure heater is on a stable, level surface. Check propane tank level. Relight if necessary after addressing the cause. |
