4. Setup

4.1 Battery Installation

1. Ensure the drain auger is turned off and the trigger is locked.
2. Align the battery pack with the battery port on the tool.
3. Slide the battery pack into the tool until it clicks securely into place.
4. To remove, press the battery release button and slide the battery out.

4.2 Cable Preparation

1. Before starting, ensure the cable is fully retracted into the drum.
2. Position the auger near the drain opening.
3. Manually feed a short length of the cable into the drain opening to guide it.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Powering On/Off

5.2 Cable Feeding

1. Locate the forward/reverse feed lever on the tool.
2. To feed the cable into the drain, push the lever forward. The cable will automatically extend as the drum rotates.
3. To retract the cable, pull the lever backward. The cable will automatically retract into the drum.
4. The cable lock setting holds the cable in place when the lever is in the neutral (middle) position, useful for removing tough clogs.

The tool features a variable speed trigger. The speed of the cable rotation is controlled by the amount of pressure applied to the trigger. Pressing the trigger further increases the speed, up to 550 RPM.

A bidirectional rotation switch allows you to change the direction of the cable's rotation:

• Left Position: The cable rotates clockwise, typically used for advancing into clogs.
• Middle Position: Locks the trigger, preventing accidental operation.
• Right Position: The cable rotates counter-clockwise, useful for retracting the cable or dislodging stubborn clogs.

5.5 Clearing Clogs

1. Slowly feed the cable into the drain, allowing it to navigate bends.
2. When resistance is met, indicating a clog, apply gentle pressure and use the variable speed trigger to work through the obstruction.
3. If the cable gets stuck, reverse the rotation direction briefly to free it, then resume forward rotation.
4. Once the clog is cleared, retract the cable slowly while running water to flush out debris.

1. After each use, remove the battery pack.
2. Wipe down the tool and cable with a damp cloth to remove any debris or residue.
3. Ensure the cable is clean and free of kinks before retracting it fully into the drum.
