The Canicom 1500 remote control is designed for effective dog training, compatible with all Canicom collars including the 200 First, 300, 800, and 1500 Pro models. It offers an impressive range of 1500 meters and can manage up to four collars simultaneously. Key features include an audible warning beep, 18 selectable correction levels for each collar (allowing for flash or continuous stimulation), and user-friendly '+' and '-' buttons for easy adjustment of stimulation levels to suit your dog's sensitivity. For urgent situations, a programmable Booster button is available. A built-in anti-shock device automatically deactivates stimulation after 7 seconds for safety. The convenient LCD screen displays the current stimulation level and battery status, ensuring safe and informed operation.

Setup Guide

  1. Battery Installation: Locate the battery compartment on the back of the remote control. Insert the provided 3V-CR2 lithium battery, ensuring correct polarity. Close the compartment securely.
  2. Powering On: Press and hold the power button (usually located on the side or top) until the LCD screen illuminates.
  3. Collar Pairing (Initial Setup):
    • Ensure the Canicom collar(s) you wish to pair are powered on and within range.
    • On the remote, select the desired collar number (1-4) using the dedicated buttons.
    • Follow the collar's specific pairing instructions (refer to your collar's manual if needed). The remote will typically enter a pairing mode, indicated on the LCD screen.
    • Once paired, the remote will confirm the connection, and you can proceed to adjust settings.
  4. Attaching Lanyard: Use the provided lanyard to attach to the remote for secure handling.

Operating Instructions

  • Selecting a Collar: Press the numbered buttons (1, 2, 3, or 4) to select the specific collar you wish to control. The selected collar number will be displayed on the LCD screen.
  • Adjusting Stimulation Level: Use the '+' and '-' buttons to increase or decrease the stimulation level. There are 18 available levels. The current level is shown on the LCD screen. Adjust the level based on your dog's sensitivity and the training situation.
  • Audible Warning Beep: Press the designated beep button (if available, or a combination of buttons as per specific model) to emit an audible warning sound from the collar. This can be used as a pre-correction signal.
  • Applying Stimulation:
    • Flash Stimulation: Press and release the stimulation button for a brief, instantaneous correction.
    • Continuous Stimulation: Press and hold the stimulation button for continuous correction. The anti-shock device will automatically deactivate stimulation after 7 seconds to prevent over-correction.
  • Booster Function: The programmable Booster button is designed for emergency situations requiring an immediate, higher level of stimulation. Consult your collar's manual for programming and safe use of this feature.
  • Monitoring Battery Status: The LCD screen will display an indicator for the remote's battery level. Replace the battery when the indicator shows low power.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the remote control with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. Ensure the device is dry before storage or use.
  • Storage: Store the remote in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. If storing for an extended period, it is recommended to remove the battery to prevent leakage.
  • Battery Replacement: Replace the 3V-CR2 lithium battery when the low battery indicator appears on the LCD screen. Dispose of used batteries responsibly according to local regulations.

Troubleshooting

Remote Control Does Not Power On:
  • Check if the battery is correctly installed with the correct polarity.
  • Replace the battery with a new 3V-CR2 lithium battery.
  • Ensure the power button is pressed and held sufficiently.
Collar Not Responding to Remote:
  • Verify that the collar is powered on and its battery is charged.
  • Ensure the remote and collar are within the 1500-meter operating range.
  • Re-pair the collar with the remote control following the pairing instructions in the Setup Guide.
  • Check for any obstructions between the remote and the collar.
LCD Screen Not Displaying Correctly:
  • Check the remote's battery level. A low battery can affect screen performance.
  • If the issue persists after battery replacement, contact customer support.
