Setup and Assembly

Assembly is required for this product. Please follow the steps below carefully. It is recommended to assemble the chair on a soft, clean surface to prevent damage.

Assembly Instructions

1. Attach Casters to Base: Insert each of the five caster wheels into the holes at the end of each leg of the 5-star chair base. Push firmly until they click into place.
2. Insert Gas Lift: Place the gas lift cylinder into the center hole of the assembled chair base.
3. Attach Mechanism Plate to Seat: Align the mechanism plate with the pre-drilled holes on the underside of the seat cushion. Ensure the front of the mechanism plate faces the front of the seat. Secure with screws and washers from the hardware pack using the Allen wrench.
4. Attach Armrests: Attach the armrests to the sides of the seat cushion using the provided screws. Do not fully tighten yet.
5. Attach Backrest: Align the backrest with the armrests and the seat. Secure the backrest to the armrests and seat using the remaining screws. Once all screws are in place, tighten all armrest and backrest screws evenly.
6. Connect Seat Assembly to Gas Lift: Carefully place the assembled seat and backrest onto the gas lift cylinder, ensuring the center hole of the mechanism plate aligns with the top of the gas lift. Press down firmly to secure.

Verify all connections are secure before using the chair.

Operating Instructions

The Sealy® Atlas Executive Office Chair offers several adjustment features to customize your seating experience for optimal comfort and ergonomic support.

Seat Height Adjustment

• To raise the seat: While standing, pull the height adjustment lever (located on the right side, beneath the seat) upwards. The seat will rise automatically. Release the lever at the desired height.
• To lower the seat: While seated, pull the height adjustment lever upwards. The seat will lower. Release the lever at the desired height.

Tilt and Recline Function

• To recline: Pull the tilt lock mechanism lever (located on the left side, beneath the seat) outwards to unlock the tilt function. Lean back to recline.
• To lock the tilt: Push the tilt lock mechanism lever inwards to lock the chair in an upright position.
• The chair features a 15-degree tilt range for comfortable reclining.

360° Swivel and Mobility

• The chair is designed with a 360° swivel function, allowing for easy rotation and access to different areas of your workspace without moving the base.
• Non-marking casters provide smooth and quiet movement across various floor surfaces.
