Operating Instructions

Cooking Boiled Eggs (Soft, Medium, Hard)

  1. Measure Water: Use the provided measuring cup to add the appropriate amount of water to the heating plate in the base unit. The measuring cup has markings for soft, medium, and hard-boiled eggs, depending on the number of eggs you are cooking.
  2. Pierce Eggs: Use the piercing pin located at the bottom of the measuring cup to gently pierce the large end of each egg. This helps prevent cracking during cooking.
  3. Place Eggs: Place the eggs onto the egg rack(s). If cooking more than 7 eggs, use the extension ring and the second egg rack.
  4. Cover: Place the lid securely on top of the egg cooker.
  5. Start Cooking: Plug the appliance into a standard electrical outlet. Press the power button on the front of the base unit. The indicator light will illuminate, signaling that cooking has begun.
  6. Automatic Shut-off: The egg cooker will automatically shut off when all the water has evaporated, and a buzzer will sound. The indicator light will turn off.
  7. Cool Down: Carefully remove the lid (steam will be hot). Use oven mitts or a towel. Allow eggs to cool slightly before handling or immediately plunge them into cold water to stop the cooking process and make peeling easier.

Cooking Omelettes or Steaming Vegetables

  1. Prepare Ingredients: For omelettes, whisk eggs with desired ingredients (cheese, vegetables, etc.). For steaming vegetables, chop vegetables into small, uniform pieces.
  2. Add Water: Add the recommended amount of water for steaming (refer to the measuring cup or experiment for desired results) to the heating plate.
  3. Place Tray: Lightly grease the omelette tray. Pour the egg mixture into the omelette tray or place vegetables in it.
  4. Assemble: Place the omelette tray on the egg rack (or directly on the heating plate if only steaming a small amount). Cover with the lid.
  5. Start Cooking: Plug in and press the power button.
  6. Monitor: Cooking time will vary based on ingredients and desired consistency. The cooker will shut off automatically when water evaporates.
  7. Serve: Carefully remove the omelette tray.

Care and Maintenance

  1. Unplug and Cool: Always unplug the egg cooker from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  2. Wash Removable Parts: The lid, egg racks, extension ring, omelette tray, and measuring cup are dishwasher safe (top rack recommended) or can be washed by hand with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
  3. Clean Base Unit: Wipe the exterior of the base unit with a damp cloth. For the stainless steel heating plate, if mineral deposits (scale) accumulate, you can remove them by wiping with a cloth dampened with white vinegar or a descaling solution. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads. Never immerse the base unit in water or any other liquid.
  4. Storage: Ensure all parts are clean and dry before storing. Store the egg cooker in a cool, dry place.
