2. Safety Information
WARNING: Failure to follow these safety instructions can result in serious injury or death.
- Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including eye protection, hearing protection, gloves, and sturdy footwear.
- Never operate the chipper without all guards and safety devices in place.
- Keep hands, feet, and clothing away from all moving parts.
- Ensure the work area is clear of bystanders, children, and pets.
- Do not chip wet wood, vines, pine cones, palm branches, or petrified wood, as these materials can cause the machine to jam and fail.
- Operate the machine on a level, stable surface.
- Before performing any maintenance or clearing jams, always turn off the engine and disconnect the spark plug wire.
- Use only 87+ unleaded gasoline for fuel.
- Do not refuel a hot engine. Allow it to cool before adding fuel.
3. Setup and Assembly
Before operating your wood chipper, ensure all components are correctly assembled and secured. Refer to the assembly diagram for detailed steps.
3.1 Attaching the Collection Bag
Securely attach the large 2.0 bushels collection bag to the discharge chute. Ensure it is properly fastened to prevent debris from scattering.

3.2 Tow Hitch Assembly
The chipper features a reversible tow hitch for easy attachment to a lawn tractor or ATV. Assemble the tow bar and secure it with the provided pins. The front stand can be removed or adjusted as needed for towing or stationary use.

3.3 Wheel Attachment
Attach the 12-inch pneumatic wheels to the axle. These wheels are designed for smooth movement across various terrains.

4. Operating Instructions
Familiarize yourself with the controls and operating procedures before starting the engine.
4.1 Starting the Engine
Follow these steps to start the 224cc 4-stroke OHV engine:
- Move the fuel valve lever to the ON position.
- To start a COLD engine, move the choke to the CLOSE position.
- To restart a WARM engine, leave the choke lever in the OPEN position.
- Move the Throttle Lever away from the SLOW position, about 1/3 of the way toward the FAST position.
- Turn the engine switch to the ON position.
- Pull the Recoil Starter.

4.2 Chipping Branches (3" Max Diameter)
Use the 3-inch chipping side chute for larger branches. Feed branches into the chute one at a time, ensuring they are relatively straight to prevent jamming. The machine is designed to handle branches up to 3 inches in diameter.

4.3 Shredding Yard Debris (1/2" Max Diameter)
For smaller twigs and leaves, use the 1/2-inch shredding top hopper. Gently feed material into the hopper. The machine can also be used for vacuuming and suctioning leaves (vacuum attachments not included).

5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your wood chipper.
- Engine Oil: Check engine oil level before each use. Change oil according to the engine manufacturer's recommendations.
- Air Filter: Clean or replace the air filter regularly, especially in dusty conditions.
- Spark Plug: Inspect and clean the spark plug periodically. Replace if worn.
- Blades: Inspect chipper blades (20M0409) and J-type hammer slices for sharpness and damage. Sharpen or replace as needed.
- General Cleaning: Keep the machine clean and free of debris. Remove any stuck material from the chipper mechanism after each use (ensure engine is off and spark plug wire disconnected).
- Storage: Store the chipper in a dry, protected area when not in use.
