Setup Instructions

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove the fairy lights and remote control from the packaging. The lights are wound on a plastic spool; unwind gently to prevent tangling.
  2. Placement: Determine your desired location for the lights. The flexible copper wire allows for creative shaping around objects, along walls, or within decorative arrangements.
  3. Power Connection: Connect the USB plug of the fairy lights to a compatible USB power source (e.g., USB wall adapter, computer USB port, power bank, or USB socket).
  4. Initial Power On: Once connected, the lights should illuminate. If not, press the 'ON' button on the remote control or the mode switch button on the USB connector.

Operating Instructions

The yietNL Fairy Lights can be operated using the included remote control or the button on the USB connector.

Remote Control Functions:

  • ON/OFF: Press 'ON' to turn the lights on, 'OFF' to turn them off.
  • Timer: Press 2H, 4H, 6H, or 8H to activate the timer function. The lights will stay on for the selected duration and then turn off automatically. They will then automatically turn on again at the same time the next day. Press 'TIMER OFF' to deactivate the timer.
  • Mode Selection (1-8): Press the numbered buttons (1-8) to cycle through the 8 different lighting modes:
    1. Combination
    2. In Wave
    3. Sequential
    4. Slo Glo
    5. Chasing/Flash
    6. Slow Fade
    7. Twinkle/Flash
    8. Steady On
  • Brightness Adjustment: Use the 'Brightness +' and 'Brightness -' buttons to increase or decrease the light intensity.
  • Speed Adjustment: Use the 'Speed +' and 'Speed -' buttons to adjust the speed of dynamic lighting modes.

USB Connector Button:

The button on the USB connector allows you to cycle through the 8 lighting modes. Press it repeatedly to change modes. This button does not control the timer or brightness.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: To clean the lights, ensure they are unplugged from the power source. Gently wipe the copper wire and LED bulbs with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Storage: When not in use, carefully wind the lights back onto their original spool or a similar storage device to prevent tangling. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
  • Handling: The copper wire is flexible but can be damaged if bent excessively or repeatedly in the same spot. Handle with care during installation and removal.

Troubleshooting

  • Lights not turning on:
    • Ensure the USB plug is securely connected to a working power source.
    • Check if the power source (e.g., USB adapter, power bank) is functioning correctly.
    • Press the 'ON' button on the remote or the mode switch button on the USB connector.
  • Remote control not working:
    • Ensure the remote control has a working battery (1 C battery included). Replace if necessary.
    • Point the remote directly at the USB receiver.
    • Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the receiver.
  • Lights lose settings when unplugged:
    • This product is designed to remember the last setting only when turned off via the remote control. If the USB power is disconnected, the settings may reset to default.
  • Lights are dim or flickering:
    • Adjust the brightness using the 'Brightness +' button on the remote.
    • Ensure the power source provides sufficient and stable power.
