Setup Instructions

Follow these steps to set up your WCFHS MiWIFICam:

  1. Charge the Camera: Before first use, fully charge the camera using the provided USB cable and a standard 5V USB power adapter (not included). The charging indicator light will typically change color or turn off when fully charged.
  2. Insert Micro SD Card (Optional): If you wish to use local storage, insert a Micro SD card (up to 128GB, purchased separately) into the camera's Micro SD card slot. Ensure the card is inserted correctly.
  3. Download the App: Search for "V380 Pro" in your device's app store (iOS App Store or Google Play Store) and download the application. Alternatively, scan the QR code provided in the quick start guide (if available) to download the app.
  4. Power On the Camera: Press and hold the power button on the camera until the indicator light turns on.
  5. Connect to the Camera's Wi-Fi Hotspot:
    • Go to your phone's Wi-Fi settings.
    • Find and connect to the camera's Wi-Fi hotspot (usually starts with "MV" or "V380"). This network will not have internet access.
  6. Add Device to App:
    • Open the V380 Pro app.
    • The app should automatically detect the camera. If not, tap the "+" icon to add a new device and select "Add Network Device" or similar option.
    • Follow the on-screen prompts to connect the camera to your home/office Wi-Fi network (2.4GHz only, 5GHz is not supported). Enter your Wi-Fi password when prompted.
    • Once connected, the camera's indicator light will typically change to a solid blue or green, indicating a successful connection.
  7. Set Device Password: For security, the app will prompt you to set a password for your camera. Create a strong password.

Operating Instructions

Live View:

Open the V380 Pro app and select your camera from the device list to view the live feed. You can access this from anywhere with an internet connection.

Recording:

  • Manual Recording: Within the app's live view, you can typically find a record button to start and stop manual video recording.
  • Continuous Recording: If a Micro SD card is inserted, the camera will automatically record continuously (loop recording). Older files are overwritten when the card is full.
  • Event Recording: Recordings triggered by motion detection events.

Night Vision:

The camera automatically switches to night vision mode in low-light conditions. The two 940nm infrared lights provide clear visibility up to 26 feet without emitting a visible red glow.

The WCFHS MiWIFICam offers two primary storage methods for your video recordings:

  • Micro SD Card Storage: Supports up to 128GB Micro SD cards (FAT32 format recommended). The camera will automatically loop record, overwriting the oldest footage when the card is full.
  • Cloud Storage: An optional cloud storage service is available through the V380 Pro app. This provides off-site backup for your recordings and can be a good alternative if you do not wish to use a Micro SD card. Subscription details are available within the app.
