Electrical Connection

Before plugging in the appliance, ensure the voltage and frequency indicated on the rating plate match your household power supply. The appliance must be properly grounded. Do not use extension cords or ungrounded adapters.

Initial Startup

After positioning the freezer, wait at least 2-4 hours before plugging it in. This allows the refrigerant to settle. Once plugged in, allow the freezer to operate empty for 24 hours to reach its optimal operating temperature before loading food.

Operating Instructions

Control Panel

The control panel is located on the front of the freezer. It typically includes a temperature display, a temperature adjustment button, and a Fast Freeze function button.

Haier Freezer Air Surround Technology

This advanced system features a unique cooling airflow that rises from bottom to top. This ensures superior temperature uniformity and accelerated freezing performance throughout the freezer compartment.

Anti-Bacterial and Anti-Mold Gasket

The freezer is equipped with an anti-bacterial and anti-mold gasket that seals the freezer, preventing mold formation and blocking 99.99% of bacteria from entering. This helps keep food healthier for longer.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Defrosting

The Haier HCE200E is a manual defrost freezer. Frost buildup on the interior walls can reduce efficiency. Defrost the freezer when the frost layer reaches approximately 5-10 mm thickness.

  1. Unplug the freezer from the power outlet.
  2. Remove all food items and store them in another freezer or cooler.
  3. Leave the lid open to allow the frost to melt naturally. Place towels or a shallow pan at the bottom to collect water.
  4. Do not use sharp objects or heating devices to remove frost, as this can damage the interior and refrigerant circuit.
  5. Once defrosted, wipe the interior dry with a soft cloth.

Cleaning the Interior

The galvanized aluminum interior is designed for easy cleaning. Use a soft cloth dampened with a mild detergent solution and warm water. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely before plugging the freezer back in.

Cleaning the Exterior and Gasket

Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. For the door gasket, use a mild soap and water solution to clean it regularly. This helps maintain its sealing properties and the anti-bacterial effectiveness.
