4. Setup Instructions

4.1 Initial Charging and Micro SD Card Installation

Before initial use, fully charge the camera using a 5V 1A power adapter (not included) overnight. Avoid using adapters with higher amperage (e.g., 2.4A or 3A). If using a Micro SD card for local storage (not included), insert it into the designated slot before mounting.

4.2 App Installation and Device Pairing

  1. Download the EseeCloud app from your smartphone's app store (iOS or Android).
  2. Launch the app and create an account.
  3. Ensure your phone's Bluetooth is enabled for device discovery.
  4. In the app, select 'Add smart device' and follow the on-screen prompts to find and add your camera.
  5. Connect the camera to your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. Note: The camera supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi only for initial setup and operation.
  6. Name your device and configure initial settings as prompted.

4.3 Mounting the Camera and Solar Panel

Select an optimal location for the camera and solar panel. The camera should be mounted at a height of 8-10 feet (2.5-3m) and within 30 feet (9m) of the monitoring area. The solar panel should be placed in a location that receives sufficient sunlight, ideally pointing directly at the sun during midday in summer, and within 6.6 feet (2m) radius of the camera for optimal charging.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Live View and Dual Screen Functionality

Access the live feed through the EseeCloud app. The camera offers a dual-screen view, allowing you to monitor both the fixed lens and the adjustable PTZ lens simultaneously. You can switch between these views with a single tap for rapid target identification.

5.2 Pan, Tilt, and Zoom (PTZ) Control

Use the app's controls to remotely pan the adjustable lens 355° horizontally and tilt 90° vertically, providing a 360° coverage with minimal blind spots. The 10X digital zoom allows you to magnify specific areas of interest.

6.1 Battery Charging

The camera is primarily solar-powered. Ensure the solar panel receives adequate direct sunlight for continuous charging. If the battery is depleted, use a 5V 1A power adapter to charge the camera.
