  1. Prepare Milk: Fill a stainless steel frothing pitcher with cold milk (dairy or non-dairy) to just below the spout.
  2. Position Steam Wand: Position the steam wand over the drip tray and open the steam valve briefly to purge any condensed water. Close the valve.
  3. Froth Milk: Immerse the tip of the steam wand just below the surface of the milk. Turn the steam dial to the steam icon on the control panel.
  4. Create Foam: Slowly lower the pitcher as the milk expands, keeping the tip just below the surface to create a swirling motion. Continue until the desired foam consistency and temperature are reached.
  5. Clean Steam Wand: Immediately after frothing, turn off the steam. Wipe the steam wand with a damp cloth to remove any milk residue. Purge the steam wand again briefly to clear any internal milk.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning and maintenance ensure optimal performance and longevity of your espresso machine.

Figure 7: Easy cleaning features including removable water tank, drip tray, and descaling function.

  • Daily Cleaning:
    • Portafilter and Filter Baskets: After each use, remove the portafilter, discard coffee grounds, and rinse the portafilter and filter basket under hot water.
    • Drip Tray: Empty and rinse the removable drip tray daily or when the indicator shows it's full.
    • Water Tank: Empty any remaining water from the tank and refill with fresh water daily.
    • Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the machine with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
  • Descaling:

Over time, mineral deposits (limescale) can build up inside the machine, affecting performance. The machine has a one-touch descaling function. Descale regularly, depending on water hardness and frequency of use (e.g., every 2-3 months).

    1. Ensure the water tank is filled with a descaling solution mixed according to the descaler manufacturer's instructions.
    2. Place a large container under the brew head and steam wand.
    3. Press the "DESCALE" button on the touchscreen. Follow the instructions on the display or in the full manual for the specific descaling cycle.
    4. After descaling, rinse the water tank thoroughly and run several cycles of fresh water through the machine to remove any descaling solution residue.
  • Auto Shutoff: The machine automatically shuts off after 15 minutes of inactivity to save energy.
