Installation Steps

  4. Position Rack Plate: Place the GIVI rack plate onto the support brackets. Align the holes on the rack plate with the corresponding holes on the brackets.
  5. Secure Rack Plate: Attach the rack plate to the support brackets using the remaining hardware. Ensure all components are correctly aligned.
  6. Tighten All Fasteners: Once all components are in place and aligned, progressively tighten all bolts to the manufacturer's specified torque settings. Start from the center and work outwards.
  7. Reassemble Motorcycle: Reinstall any removed body panels or components. Ensure all parts are securely fastened.
  8. Final Check: Verify that the rack is securely mounted and does not wobble. Check for any loose bolts or interference with other motorcycle components.

Operation

Attaching a GIVI Top Box (Monokey/Monolock)

  1. Ensure the top box is unlocked.
  2. Align the front hooks of the top box with the corresponding slots on the front of the GIVI rack plate.
  3. Lower the rear of the top box onto the rack plate until the rear locking mechanism engages with the plate.
  4. Press down firmly on the top box until you hear a "click," indicating it is securely locked.
  5. Verify the top box is securely attached by gently pulling upwards on it.

Detaching a GIVI Top Box (Monokey/Monolock)

  1. Insert the key into the top box lock and turn it to the unlock position.
  2. Press the release button (typically located near the lock mechanism).
  3. While holding the release button, lift the rear of the top box and slide it backward to disengage the front hooks.
  4. Carefully remove the top box from the rack.
