6. Operating Instructions (Cleaning Process)
Follow these steps to clean your ice machine:
- Add Tablet: Place one (1) ACTIVE Ice Machine Cleaner Tablet directly into the water pan or trough of your ice machine.
- Run Cleaning Cycles: Refer to your ice machine's specific instruction manual for its cleaning cycle procedure. Run two full cleaning cycles as recommended by your machine's manufacturer. If your machine does not have a dedicated cleaning cycle, consult your machine's manual for alternative cleaning methods or contact ACTIVE customer support for guidance.
- Wipe Interior: After the cleaning cycles are complete and the machine has been drained, carefully wipe down the interior areas of the machine to remove any remaining water, debris, or loosened scale.
After cleaning, rinse the machine thoroughly according to your ice maker's instructions before resuming ice production.
7. Maintenance
Regular maintenance with ACTIVE Ice Machine Cleaner Tablets is essential for optimal performance and ice quality. Mineral and limescale buildup can affect ice clarity and taste. A consistent descaling treatment helps prevent these issues.
For best results and to ensure crystal clear, fresh-tasting ice, it is recommended to use one tablet approximately once a month, or as needed based on water hardness and usage. Each package contains 24 tablets, providing a supply for up to two years of monthly cleaning.

8. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues during or after the cleaning process, consider the following:
- Incomplete Scale Removal: For heavy or long-standing scale buildup, a second cleaning cycle or a manual scrub with a soft brush after the cleaning cycle may be necessary. Ensure the machine is unplugged before any manual cleaning.
- Residue After Cleaning: Ensure thorough rinsing of the ice machine after the cleaning cycles. Run several cycles with fresh water to flush out any remaining cleaning solution.
- Machine Malfunction: If your ice machine is not functioning correctly after cleaning, consult your ice maker's specific user manual or contact the ice maker's manufacturer for technical support.
