4. Setup and Installation

Proper installation is crucial for safety and performance. It is recommended that installation be performed by a qualified technician.

Unpacking:

  • Carefully remove the gas stove from its packaging.
  • Check for any damage during transit. Do not use if damaged.
  • Ensure all included components are present: 1 Glass Top Gas Stove, 1 Mini Pan Support, 1 Baati / Tandoor Stand, 1 Burner Cleaning Pin, 1 Operating Manual Cum Warranty Card.

Placement:

  • Place the stove on a stable, flat, and heat-resistant surface.
  • Ensure adequate clearance from walls and overhead cabinets for ventilation.

Gas Connection:

  • The stove is compatible with both LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) and PNG (Piped Natural Gas).
  • For LPG connection, use a certified rubber hose and regulator.
  • For PNG conversion, a complimentary jet set is included. This conversion should be performed by an authorized service technician to ensure safety and proper functioning.
  • Connect the gas hose to the 360° rotating brass gas nozzle at the back of the stove.
  • Check for gas leaks using soapy water (bubbles indicate a leak). Never use an open flame to check for leaks.

5. Operating Instructions

Lighting the Burner (Manual Ignition):

  1. Ensure the gas supply is open.
  2. Place your cookware on the pan support over the desired burner.
  3. Push and turn the corresponding knob counter-clockwise to the 'ON' position.
  4. Immediately bring a lit matchstick or gas lighter close to the burner to ignite the flame.
  5. Once the flame is lit, adjust the knob to achieve the desired flame intensity (low, medium, high).
  6. If the burner does not light within a few seconds, turn the knob to 'OFF', wait for a minute for the gas to disperse, and then repeat the process.

Turning Off the Burner:

  • Turn the knob clockwise to the 'OFF' position until the flame extinguishes completely.
  • Always ensure all burners are turned off after cooking.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning and maintenance will prolong the life of your gas stove and ensure safe operation.

Daily Cleaning:

  • Allow the stove to cool completely before cleaning.
  • Wipe the glass top with a soft cloth and mild detergent. Avoid abrasive cleaners that can scratch the surface.
  • Remove and clean the stainless-steel drip tray with soap and water.

Burner Cleaning:

  • Periodically remove the burners and pan supports.
  • Clean the brass burners with a soft brush and warm soapy water to remove food residue. Ensure the burner holes are not clogged. Use the provided burner cleaning pin if necessary.
  • Rinse thoroughly and dry completely before reassembling. Ensure burners are placed correctly to avoid uneven flames.

General Care:

  • Do not use harsh chemicals or steel wool, as they can damage the stove's finish.
  • Regularly inspect the gas hose for cracks or wear. Replace if necessary.
