1. Introduction
Thank you for choosing the YUHSYWL 300W Electric Hot Knife. This versatile tool is designed for precise and efficient cutting of various materials, including foam, EPP, EPS, XPS, EVA, EPE, PU, KT Board, Sponge, and Nylon. With its rapid heating capability and adjustable temperature control, it is suitable for a wide range of commercial and industrial applications, as well as craft and model making.

2. Important Safety Instructions
Please read and understand all safety warnings and instructions before operating this tool. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, and/or serious injury.
- Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including safety glasses and heat-resistant gloves.
- Ensure the work area is well-ventilated to dissipate any fumes produced during cutting.

3. Package Contents
Your YUHSYWL Foam Cutter Electric Hot Knife 4-in-1 Kit includes the following items:
- 1 x Electric Hot Knife Unit

4. Setup and Assembly
Follow these steps to properly install the cutting blade:
- Loosen the Screws: Use the provided hexagonal wrench to loosen the screws on the blade holder at the front of the hot knife.
- Insert the Blade: Carefully slide the desired nickel-chromium alloy blade into the slots of the blade holder. Ensure it is seated firmly and correctly.
- Tighten the Screws: Securely tighten the screws with the hexagonal wrench to hold the blade in place. Do not overtighten.

5. Operating Instructions
Once the blade is installed, you are ready to operate the hot knife.
5.1. Temperature Adjustment
The hot knife features a stepless temperature control design, allowing you to adjust the heat power precisely.
- Connect Power: Plug the hot knife into a standard 110V power outlet.
- Adjust Temperature: Slide the knob on the side of the tool to set the desired temperature. The temperature can range from 50°C to 600°C. Start with a lower setting and gradually increase if needed for your material.
- Preheat: Allow 3-5 seconds for the blade to reach the set temperature. The tool heats up rapidly.

5.2. Cutting Techniques
For optimal results and safety, consider the following:
- Test on Scrap Material: Before cutting your main piece, always test the temperature setting on a scrap piece of the same material to ensure clean cuts and prevent damage.
- Apply Gentle Pressure: Allow the heat of the blade to do the work. Apply only gentle, consistent pressure as you guide the blade through the material.
- Maintain Ventilation: Ensure continuous ventilation to disperse any fumes or odors generated during the cutting process.
- Continuous Use: The advanced cooling system allows for long-term continuous work, maintaining stable and safe operation.

6. Maintenance and Care
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your hot knife.
- Cleaning: After each use, ensure the tool is unplugged and completely cooled. Use the provided cleaning brush to gently remove any melted residue or debris from the blade and blade holder. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Blade Inspection: Regularly inspect blades for wear or damage. Replace dull or damaged blades to maintain cutting efficiency and safety.
- Storage: Store the hot knife and its accessories in a dry, clean place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Keep it out of reach of children.
