Setup Instructions

1. Install Batteries:

   Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the lid unit. Insert the required batteries (not included) according to the polarity indicators. Close the battery compartment securely.

2. Attach Lid to Body:

   Carefully place the lid unit onto the trash can body, ensuring it is properly aligned and seated.
3. Insert Liner Ring and Trash Bag:

   Lift the liner ring from the trash can body. Place a trash bag into the body, folding the top edge of the bag over the liner ring. Reinsert the liner ring with the trash bag into the trash can body, ensuring the bag is securely held in place.

4. Power On:

   Locate the power switch on the back of the lid unit. Flip the switch to the "ON" position. The sensor will activate, and the trash can is ready for use.

Operating Instructions

• Automatic Opening:

  Approach the sensor area on the lid. The lid will automatically open when motion is detected within 3-5 feet. It will remain open for a few seconds, then close automatically.
• Manual Opening/Closing:

  If manual operation is preferred, there may be a button on the lid to open or close it manually. Refer to the specific markings on your lid for this function.

• Disposing of Waste:

  Once the lid opens, dispose of your waste into the trash bag. The lid will close automatically after a short delay.

Maintenance

• Cleaning the Exterior:

  Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth and mild detergent. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that could damage the finish.

• Cleaning the Interior:

  Periodically remove the liner ring and trash bag. Clean the interior of the trash can body with a damp cloth and disinfectant. Ensure it is completely dry before reinserting the trash bag.

• Sensor Care:

  Keep the motion sensor area on the lid clean and free from obstructions to ensure optimal performance. Wipe gently with a dry, soft cloth.
• Battery Replacement:

  Replace batteries when the sensor light indicates low power or when the lid's operation becomes sluggish or stops. Always replace all batteries at the same time with new ones of the same type.
