Setup and Installation
Before beginning installation, ensure you have sufficient free space for the speakers. Each speaker measures approximately 5 inches in diameter and 6.5 inches in length.
Mounting
The GoHawk AS5-X system includes mounting hardware for various handlebar and rollbar sizes:
- Handlebar Mounting: Use the 7/8" to 1.25" clamps for standard handlebars.
- Crash Bar/Rollbar Mounting: Use the 1.5" to 2" clamps for larger bars, such as crash bars or UTV/ATV rollbars.
Installation Steps:
- Assemble the Bracket: Attach the appropriate mounting clamps to the speakers using the provided hardware.
- Fix the Speakers: Securely mount the speakers to your desired location (e.g., handlebar, crash bar). Ensure they are positioned to provide optimal sound direction and do not obstruct controls or visibility.
- Connect the Power: Connect the 78-inch SAE to Ring Terminal Power Cable to a standard 12V power source on your vehicle. The system is designed for plug-and-play installation.
Operating Instructions
The GoHawk AS5-X system offers multiple audio input options and is controlled via a wired remote.
Power On/Off
Press and hold the power button on the wired control for approximately 3 seconds to turn the system on or off.
Bluetooth Connectivity
The system features Bluetooth 5.0 for wireless audio streaming.
- Ensure the speaker system is powered on.
- On your smartphone or other Bluetooth-enabled device, search for available Bluetooth devices.
- Select "GOHAWK" from the list to pair. A confirmation tone will sound upon successful connection.
The Bluetooth connection range is up to 15 meters (approximately 49 feet).
AUX Input
Connect an external audio device (e.g., MP3 player, smartphone) directly to the 3.5mm AUX port using the provided AUX cable.
USB Playback
Insert a USB drive containing audio files into the USB port for direct music playback. Note that the system supports USB drives only and does not support USB to phone connections for music playback or USB charging.
Wired Control Functions
The full-function wired control allows you to manage playback and volume:
- Power Button: Press and hold to turn on/off.
- Volume Up/Down: Adjust the audio level.
