This manual provides instructions for the proper use, setup, and maintenance of your Travelpro VersaPack+ Compact Carry-On Expandable Spinner Luggage. This luggage is designed for versatile packing and ease of travel, featuring advanced organization and durable construction.
The VersaPack+ Compact Carry-On is equipped with a PrecisionGlide System for smooth maneuverability, a built-in TSA-compliant lock for security, and an expandable design to maximize packing space. It includes a removable packing cube organizer, shoe bags, and a laundry bag for efficient organization.
Initial Setup
Setting the TSA Combination Lock
Your luggage is equipped with a built-in TSA-compliant combination lock. The default code is set to 0-0-0. To set your personal combination:
- Ensure the lock is set to the default combination (0-0-0).
- Locate the small reset button, usually found next to the dials. Use a pen or a pointed object to press and hold this button until you hear a click.
- While holding the reset button, set your desired 3-digit combination by turning the dials.
- Release the reset button. Your new combination is now set.
- Test the new combination by scrambling the dials and then entering your new code to open the lock.
Important: Remember your combination. Travelpro cannot open your lock if the combination is forgotten.
Operation
Using the PowerScope Handle and Spinner Wheels
The luggage features a PrecisionGlide System, which includes a four-stop, height-adjustable PowerScope Handle with a comfortable Contour Grip and eight ultra-durable, 360° MagnaTrac self-aligning spinner wheels. To extend the handle, press the button on the grip and pull upwards. Adjust to one of the four height settings for optimal comfort. The MagnaTrac wheels are designed to roll effortlessly in any direction, providing precise control and stability.
Packing Features
The VersaPack+ is designed for optimal organization. It includes a removable compression packing cube system, two removable shoe bags, and a removable laundry bag. The interior also features a full-length lid pocket, adjustable hold-down straps, and a water-resistant compartment to keep contents separated and secured. The ECOFAB interior lining is made from 100% post-consumer recycled plastic bottles.
Expanding Luggage Capacity
For additional packing space, the luggage features a tapered 2-inch expansion option. To expand, simply unzip the expansion zipper located around the perimeter of the main compartment. This design helps maintain a low center of gravity, reducing the risk of tipping even when fully expanded.
Care and Maintenance
To ensure the longevity of your Travelpro VersaPack+ luggage, follow these care guidelines:
- Cleaning the Exterior: The high-density ballistic nylon fabric with DuraGuard coating is stain and abrasion resistant. For general cleaning, wipe the exterior with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid harsh chemicals.
- Cleaning the Interior: The ECOFAB interior lining can be wiped clean with a damp cloth. The H2O guard provides water resistance, making it easy to clean spills.
- Zippers: Keep zippers free of debris. If a zipper becomes stiff, apply a small amount of zipper lubricant or wax. A repair kit for YKK zippers is included with your luggage.
- Wheels: Periodically check wheels for debris and clean as needed to ensure smooth rolling.
- Storage: Store your luggage in a clean, dry place when not in use.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues with your luggage, consider the following common solutions:
- Stuck Handle: Ensure no items are obstructing the handle mechanism inside the luggage. Press the release button firmly and try extending or retracting the handle.
- Wheels Not Rolling Smoothly: Check for hair, lint, or debris caught in the wheel axles. Clean any obstructions. If a wheel is damaged, refer to the warranty information for repair options.
- Zipper Issues: If a zipper is difficult to move, check for fabric caught in the teeth. Gently pull the fabric away and try again. Lubricating the zipper with a wax stick can also help. A YKK zipper repair kit is included for minor repairs.
- Lock Not Opening: Double-check your combination. If you have forgotten your combination, Travelpro cannot assist in opening the lock.

Additionally, it includes a 3-Year Trusted Companion Promise for the original purchaser or gift recipient. This promise covers damage caused by an airline or other common carrier during the first three years of ownership. It also covers shipping costs if the product needs to be sent to a Travelpro repair facility. This promise activates upon product registration and requires registration within 120 days of delivery date or gift receipt for additional coverage.
