5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Using the Flip Drawers
The Maupvit shoe cabinet features 3 flip drawers designed for easy access and discreet storage. To open a drawer, gently pull the golden handle outwards. The drawer will tilt forward, revealing two layers of storage space for your shoes. To close, push the drawer back into the cabinet until it is flush with the front.
5.2 Adjusting Shelf Panels
Each flip drawer contains two adjustable shelf panels. These panels can be adjusted or removed to accommodate different shoe heights, such as flats, mid-boots, or heels. To adjust, carefully lift the panel and reposition it into one of the two available grooves. To remove, simply lift the panel out.

6. Maintenance and Care
- Cleaning: Wipe the cabinet surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as they may damage the finish. For the rattan elements, a soft brush can be used to remove dust.
- Dusting: Regularly dust the cabinet with a dry, soft cloth to prevent buildup.
- Spills: Immediately wipe up any spills to prevent staining or damage to the wood and rattan.
- Sunlight: Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight to prevent fading or discoloration of the wood and rattan.
- Moisture: Keep the cabinet away from excessive moisture or humidity to prevent warping or damage.
7. Troubleshooting
- Problem: Drawers are difficult to open or close.
- Solution: Check if shoes are obstructing the mechanism. Ensure the cabinet is on a level surface. Verify that all assembly screws for the drawers and frame are properly tightened.
- Problem: Cabinet feels unstable or wobbly.
- Solution: Confirm that the cabinet is placed on a flat, even floor. Re-tighten all assembly screws. Ensure the anti-tipping device is securely installed and anchored to the wall.
- Problem: Shoes do not fit in the drawers.
- Solution: Adjust or remove the internal shelf panels within the flip drawers to create more space for taller shoes. The cabinet is designed for a narrow profile, so larger boots may not fit vertically.
