3. Setup and Installation
3.1 Package Contents
- 1 x SUMOR Digital Tachometer Meter
3.2 Physical Installation
- Mounting: Securely mount the tachometer in a suitable location on your vehicle or equipment. The device has mounting holes for screws. Ensure it is protected from direct impact.
- Wire Connection: Wrap the black wire (approximately 170cm long) around the spark plug wire of your engine. The inductive pickup senses the ignition pulses. Ensure a sufficient number of wraps (e.g., 5-7 wraps) for reliable signal detection.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Display Modes
The device primarily displays total operating hours and engine RPM. The display automatically switches between these modes or can be manually cycled.
4.2 Button Functions (S1 & S2)
- S1 Button: Used for cycling through display modes, accessing settings, and confirming selections.
- S2 Button: Used for adjusting values within settings.
4.3 Resetting Total Hours
- Hold down the S1 button until "05" is displayed on the screen.
- Release the S1 button. After 8-10 seconds, the display will return to the total time.
- To clear all data and reset the system, press S1 and S2 simultaneously. The data will cycle from 01-09, and then all data will be cleared. The speed mode will default to "02".
