2. Vehicle Compatibility

This car stereo is compatible with the following left-hand drive vehicles manufactured from 2016 onwards:

Toyota Proace

3. Setup and Installation

3.1. Package Contents

3.2. Installation Process

The installation kit is designed to match the factory dashboard, ensuring a gapless fit. It features high-grade ABS plastic construction with a factory-style texture. Quick and easy installation is facilitated by molded connectors that plug into the factory harness without requiring wire cutting.

Preparation: Ensure the vehicle's power is off and the battery is disconnected before starting installation.
Remove Original Unit: Carefully remove the existing car stereo and dashboard trim.
Connect Wiring: Connect the provided power cables, Canbus decoder, USB cable, radio antenna, and any other necessary cables (RCA, GPS antenna, microphone) to the new CAMECHO unit and the vehicle's harness. Refer to the wiring diagram for specific connections.
Test Functionality: Before fully reassembling, temporarily connect the battery and test the unit's basic functions (power on, audio, touch screen, radio).
Mount New Unit: Secure the new radio housing and stereo unit into the dashboard opening.
Reassemble: Reinstall any removed dashboard trim and reconnect the vehicle's battery.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Wireless CarPlay & Android Auto

The unit supports both wireless and wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. This allows for convenient integration of your smartphone, enabling access to mobile applications, contacts, navigation, and voice control directly from the car stereo. Automatic reconnection is supported.

Wireless Connection: Connect your smartphone via Wi-Fi to enable wireless CarPlay or Android Auto.
Wired Connection: Use a USB cable to connect your smartphone for wired CarPlay or Android Auto functionality.
Voice Control: Utilize voice commands (e.g., "Hey Siri" or "OK Google") for navigation, music playback, and other functions.

4.2. GPS Navigation & WiFi

The car stereo offers GPS navigation with support for both online and offline maps. You can download navigation applications via Wi-Fi. Once connected to Wi-Fi, online maps like Google Maps can be used effectively.

Online Navigation: Connect to Wi-Fi to use real-time navigation apps.
Offline Maps: Download maps for use without an internet connection.
Wi-Fi Connectivity: Connect to a Wi-Fi hotspot to access online features, download apps, music, and videos.

4.3. Bluetooth 5.0 & Mirror Link

Integrated Bluetooth 5.0 provides faster transmission speeds and longer effective distances for an optimized audio experience. It supports music control and hands-free calling.

Hands-Free Calling: Make and receive calls directly through the car stereo.
Audio Streaming: Play music from your smartphone via Bluetooth.
Mirror Link: Project your phone's screen (iOS and Android) onto the car stereo display. This feature supports automatic reconnection upon startup.

4.4. Multimedia Playback (FM/RDS & DSP)

The unit includes a high-quality digital stereo FM/RDS tuner, allowing automatic or semi-automatic searching for radio stations. The integrated Digital Sound Processor (DSP) features a 32-band EQ and 5 preset sound effect settings for a customizable audio experience.

FM/RDS Radio: Tune into your favorite radio stations with clear reception.
DSP & EQ: Adjust audio settings using the 32-band equalizer and select from various sound effects to optimize sound quality.

4.5. Steering Wheel Control

The car stereo supports steering wheel control, allowing you to manage functions like volume, track skipping, and radio station changes without taking your hands off the wheel. This enhances driving safety and convenience.

4.6. Split Screen Functionality

The split-screen feature allows you to run multiple applications simultaneously on the 9-inch display. For example, you can use navigation on one side while controlling music on the other.

4.7. Customized Home App & Multiple UI Options

Personalize your user experience by customizing the home screen layout and choosing from multiple user interface (UI) themes. This allows you to arrange your most frequently used apps for quick access.

4.8. Voice Assistant

4.9. Global Weather Display & Network Radio

Stay informed with the global weather display feature, providing real-time weather updates. Access a wide range of internet radio platforms through the network radio function, allowing you to listen to stations from around the world.

5. Rear Camera Functionality

The CAMECHO car stereo supports a rear view camera (camera not included). When a compatible camera is connected, the display automatically switches to the camera feed when the vehicle is in reverse, providing a clear view of the area behind your vehicle. This feature enhances parking safety.

6. Maintenance

Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the screen and exterior surfaces. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
Software Updates: Periodically check for and install available software updates to ensure the system runs efficiently and securely.
Environmental Conditions: Avoid exposing the unit to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight for prolonged periods, or excessive moisture.
Cable Connections: Ensure all cables are securely connected. Loose connections can lead to intermittent issues.

7. Troubleshooting
