3. Setup

3.1 Unboxing and Component Check

Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Ensure all items listed below are present and undamaged:

Place the charging dock against a wall in an open area. Ensure there is at least 1.6 feet (0.5m) of clear space on both sides and 4.9 feet (1.5m) in front of the dock for the robot to navigate freely. Plug the power adapter into the charging dock and a power outlet.

3.3 Initial Charge

Place the robot vacuum onto the charging dock. Ensure the charging contacts on the robot align with those on the dock. The robot will begin charging automatically. For first-time use, fully charge the robot before operation.

3.4 App Installation and Wi-Fi Connection

Download the 'Smart Life' app from your smartphone's app store. Follow the in-app instructions to add your BPMIO B12 robot vacuum. Note: The robot only supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi networks. Ensure your Wi-Fi is set to 2.4GHz during the pairing process.

3.5 Initial Mapping

After connecting to the app, initiate a 'Smart Cleaning' or 'Mapping' cycle. The robot will use its LiDAR navigation to scan and create a detailed map of your home. This map is crucial for efficient cleaning and allows you to set up customized cleaning zones and virtual walls.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Starting and Stopping Cleaning

  • Via App: Open the Smart Life app, select your device, and choose a cleaning mode (e.g., Smart Cleaning, Zone Cleaning, Spot Cleaning).
  • Via Robot Buttons: Press the power button on the robot to start or pause cleaning. Press the home button to send the robot back to its charging dock.
  • Voice Control: Use voice commands with Alexa or Google Assistant (e.g., "Alexa, turn on robot vacuum").

4.2 Customized Cleaning and Scheduling

4.3 Setting No-Go Zones and Virtual Walls

After mapping, use the app to draw virtual boundaries:

  • No-Go Zones: Areas the robot will avoid entirely.
  • No-Mop Zones: Areas the robot will vacuum but not mop (e.g., carpets).
  • Virtual Walls: Invisible barriers to prevent the robot from entering certain rooms or sections.

4.4 Mopping Function

To use the mopping function:

  1. Fill the electric control water tank with clean water. Do not use traditional floor cleaners.
  2. Attach a clean mop cloth to the mop cloth holder and then attach it to the robot.
  3. Select the desired water flow level (3 options) in the app.
  4. Start a cleaning cycle. The robot will perform Y-shaped mopping for thorough cleaning.

4.5 Recharge and Resume

The robot is designed to manage its battery life efficiently. If the battery level drops below 15% during a cleaning cycle, it will automatically return to the charging dock. Once the battery reaches 80%, it will resume cleaning from where it left off.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance is crucial for the longevity and optimal performance of your BPMIO Robot Vacuum. Always turn off the robot and disconnect it from the charging dock before performing any maintenance.

5.1 Emptying the Dustbin

Empty the 350ml dustbin after each cleaning cycle, especially if you have pets or a large area to clean. Press the release button to remove the dustbin, open it, and discard the collected debris.

5.2 Cleaning the HEPA Filter

The HEPA filter captures 99.69% of dust particles. Tap the filter gently to remove loose dust. For deeper cleaning, rinse the filter with water (ensure it's completely dry before re-inserting). Replace the HEPA filter every 3-6 months, or as needed, to maintain suction efficiency.

5.3 Mop Cloth Maintenance

Remove the mop cloth after each mopping session. The mop cloths are machine washable. Wash them regularly to prevent odor and maintain cleaning effectiveness. Ensure they are completely dry before reattaching.

5.4 Side Brush and Main Brush Cleaning

Regularly check the side brushes and main brush for tangled hair or debris. Use the included cleaning tool to cut and remove any wrapped hair. Replace worn-out brushes to ensure effective sweeping.

5.5 Sensor Cleaning

Wipe the anti-drop sensors, obstacle avoidance sensors, and charging contacts with a clean, dry cloth to ensure proper functionality and navigation.
