1. Product Overview

The VALIKIY 4-Pack LED Backlight Sheet is a versatile and flexible lighting solution designed to provide bright, even, and comfortable illumination for various applications. These sheets are ideal for backlighting translucent materials such as onyx, marble, quartz, and other natural stones, enhancing their natural patterns and beauty. Each sheet features 242 premium LEDs, offering high brightness and excellent color rendering.

2. Safety Information

• Ensure the power supply is disconnected before installation or maintenance.
• Only use with a compatible 24V DC LED power supply/transformer (not included).
• Do not expose the sheets to direct water or excessive moisture unless properly sealed for outdoor use (this product is rated for indoor use).
• Avoid bending the sheets sharply at the LED points to prevent damage.
• If cutting the sheets, follow the indicated cut lines precisely to avoid damaging the electrical circuits.
• Keep out of reach of children.

3. Package Contents

Your VALIKIY LED Backlight Sheet package includes the following items:

4. Setup and Installation

The VALIKIY LED backlight sheets are designed for easy installation. Follow these steps for a smooth setup process.

4.1. Planning Your Layout

Before installation, plan the arrangement of your LED sheets. Consider the area you wish to backlight and how the sheets will connect. The sheets are flexible, cuttable, and connectable to fit various shapes and sizes.

4.2. Cutting the Sheets (Optional)

If your project requires custom shapes or smaller sizes, the LED sheets can be cut. Locate the designated cut lines on the sheet. These lines allow for vertical, horizontal, or 45-degree angle cuts. Use sharp scissors for a clean cut.

4.3. Connecting Multiple Sheets

Use the provided 1.97-inch connection wires to link multiple LED sheets together. Simply plug one end of the connection wire into the connector on one sheet and the other end into the corresponding connector on the adjacent sheet. Ensure a secure connection for proper illumination.

4.4. Mounting the Sheets

The LED sheets offer two mounting options:

• 3M Adhesive: Each sheet comes with industrial-grade 3M adhesive on the back. Peel off the protective backing and firmly press the sheet onto a clean, dry surface.
• Screws: For a more secure installation, use the provided mounting screws. The sheets have pre-drilled holes for this purpose. Place the silicon bumpers under the screw heads to protect the LEDs and ensure proper spacing.

4.5. Wiring to Power Supply

All VALIKIY LED light sheets require a 24V DC power supply and/or controller to operate (not included). Use the provided input cables (12-inch or 48-inch) to connect your assembled LED sheets to the power supply. The Wago connectors can be used for secure and easy wire connections.

5. Operating Instructions

Once properly installed and connected to a 24V DC power supply, the LED backlight sheets will illuminate. These sheets are dimmable, allowing you to adjust the light intensity to suit your needs. To enable dimming, you will need to integrate a compatible dimmer (e.g., TRIAC dimmer or 0-10V dimmer) into your wiring setup, as shown in the wiring diagrams in Section 4.5.

5.1. Dimmable Functionality

The dimmable feature allows for precise control over the light output, creating the desired ambiance. Consult the instructions for your chosen dimmer for specific operation details. For larger lighting projects, an amplifier may be used to extend the reach of the dimming signal.

6. Maintenance

The VALIKIY LED Backlight Sheets require minimal maintenance. Follow these guidelines to ensure longevity and optimal performance:

• Cleaning: Gently wipe the surface of the LED sheets with a soft, dry, or slightly damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the LEDs or the sheet material.
• Inspection: Periodically inspect the connections and mounting points to ensure they remain secure.
• Power Supply: Ensure the power supply is kept in a well-ventilated area and is not overloaded.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your VALIKIY LED Backlight Sheets, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:

• No Illumination:
  • Check if the 24V DC power supply is properly connected and receiving power.
  • Verify all sheet-to-sheet connections and input cable connections are secure.
  • Ensure the power supply is compatible (24V DC) and not faulty.
• Uneven Lighting or Flickering:
  • Inspect all connections for looseness or corrosion.
  • Ensure the power supply is sufficient for the total wattage of connected sheets.
  • If using a dimmer, ensure it is compatible and properly installed.
• Light Spots Visible Through Translucent Material:
  • This can occur with very thin translucent materials (e.g., glass or quartz below 1/4 inch / 7mm).
  • Consider using thicker material (e.g., natural stone thicker than 3/4 inch / 19mm) or increasing the distance between the LED sheet and the translucent surface if possible.
  • Test your surface material's response to light before final installation.
