2. Getting Started: Setup
2.1 Initial Power On and Time Setting
Upon first use or after a battery replacement, the watch may require initial setup. Refer to the button layout for navigation.
- Button A (LIGHT): Activates the EL backlight.
- Button B (MODE): Cycles through different modes (Time, Chronograph, Pedometer, Compass, Countdown).
- Button C (UP): Used for increasing values or navigating up in settings.
- Button D (DOWN): Used for decreasing values or navigating down in settings.
To set the time and date:
- In Time Mode, press and hold Button B (MODE) until the display flashes, indicating setting mode.
- Use Button B (MODE) to cycle through hours, minutes, seconds, year, month, and day settings.
- Use Button C (UP) and Button D (DOWN) to adjust the values.
- Press Button B (MODE) again to confirm and exit setting mode.
2.2 Battery Information
The C-Nexus watch uses a CR 2430 battery. A low battery reminder function is integrated to alert you when the battery needs replacement. The typical battery life is approximately 1 year.

3. Operating Instructions
3.1 Chronograph Function
The chronograph allows for precise timekeeping of events.
- Press Button B (MODE) to navigate to Chronograph Mode.
- Press Button C (UP) to start the stopwatch.
- Press Button C (UP) again to pause.
- Press Button D (DOWN) to reset the stopwatch to zero.
3.2 Pedometer and Step Counting
The built-in pedometer tracks your steps, calories burned, exercise mileage, exercise time, and average speed.
- Press Button B (MODE) to navigate to Pedometer Mode.
- The watch will automatically begin counting steps when movement is detected.
- Press Button C (UP) or Button D (DOWN) to cycle through different pedometer data displays (steps, calories, mileage, etc.).

3.3 Compass Function
The integrated compass provides directional guidance.
- Press Button B (MODE) to navigate to Compass Mode.
- Hold the watch level and away from magnetic interference.
- The display will show the current azimuth and pointing direction.

3.4 Pacer Function
The pacer function helps you maintain a desired pace during activities.
- Press Button B (MODE) to navigate to Pacer Mode.
- Use Button C (UP) and Button D (DOWN) to set your desired beats per minute (BPM).
- The watch will emit a sound or vibration at the set interval to guide your pace.
3.5 Countdown Timer
The countdown timer is useful for timing specific intervals.
- Press Button B (MODE) to navigate to Countdown Mode.
- Press and hold Button B (MODE) to enter setting mode.
- Use Button C (UP) and Button D (DOWN) to set the desired countdown time.
- Press Button B (MODE) to confirm and exit setting mode.
- Press Button C (UP) to start the countdown.
3.6 EL Backlight
For enhanced visibility in low-light conditions, press Button A (LIGHT) to activate the EL backlight.
4. Maintenance and Care
4.1 Cleaning
To maintain the appearance and functionality of your watch:
- Wipe the watch case and strap regularly with a soft, damp cloth.
- For the nylon strap, mild soap and water can be used, then rinse thoroughly and air dry.
- Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
4.2 Water Resistance
The C-Nexus watch is water resistant up to 50 meters (5 ATM). This means it is suitable for everyday use, showering, and swimming in shallow water. It is not suitable for diving or high-pressure water activities.
- Do not operate buttons underwater.
- Ensure the crown (if applicable) is fully pushed in before exposing the watch to water.
- Avoid exposing the watch to extreme temperature changes, which can affect water seals.
4.3 Battery Replacement
When the low battery reminder appears, it is recommended to replace the CR 2430 battery promptly. Battery replacement should ideally be performed by a qualified watch technician to ensure proper sealing and water resistance.
