6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the safety, performance, and longevity of your electric bike.

General Care:

  • Cleaning: Use a damp cloth to wipe down the frame and components. Avoid high-pressure washing directly on electrical parts.
  • Storage: Store the bike in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. If storing for extended periods, ensure the battery is partially charged (50-70%) and recharged every 1-2 months.

Component-Specific Maintenance:

  • Tires: Maintain proper tire pressure for the 26x4" fat tires. Refer to the tire sidewall for recommended pressure. Regularly check for punctures or wear.
  • Brakes: Inspect the dual hydraulic disc brakes regularly for wear on pads and rotors. Ensure brake levers provide firm and responsive stopping power. Adjust or replace components as needed.
  • Chain: Keep the chain clean and lubricated to ensure smooth gear changes and prevent rust.
  • Suspension: Periodically check the front hydraulic suspension fork, independent hydraulic rear shock, and saddle shock absorption for proper function and adjust as necessary.
  • Fasteners: Regularly check all bolts, nuts, and quick releases for tightness.
