5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your portable air conditioner.

5.1 Air Filter Cleaning

The air filter should be cleaned every two weeks or more frequently depending on usage and air quality.

  1. Unplug the unit from the power outlet.
  2. Locate the air filter panel (usually on the back or side of the unit).
  3. Remove the filter by gently pulling it out. No tools are required.
  4. Wash the filter under running water (warm, not hot) or use a vacuum cleaner to remove dust.
  5. Allow the filter to air dry completely before reinserting it into the unit. Do not expose to direct sunlight.

5.2 Self-Evaporation System

This unit features a built-in self-evaporation system, which typically eliminates the need for manual water drainage in cooling mode. The condensed water is used to cool the condenser coils and then expelled through the exhaust hose. In high humidity conditions or dehumidifier mode, manual drainage may be required. A drain port is provided for this purpose.

5.3 Storage

If the unit will not be used for an extended period:

  1. Drain any accumulated water from the unit.
  2. Clean the air filter.
  3. Run the unit in fan-only mode for a few hours to dry the interior.
  4. Unplug the power cord and coil it neatly.
  5. Store the unit in a cool, dry place, preferably in its original packaging.
