1. Safety Information

Please read and understand all safety instructions before using the COSTWAY Portable Steam Sauna. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, serious injury, or death.

  • Always use the sauna in a well-ventilated area.
  • Do not use the sauna if you are pregnant, have heart conditions, high blood pressure, or any other medical condition without consulting a physician.
  • Keep out of reach of children and pets.
  • Only use clean water in the steam generator. Do not add essential oils or other substances directly into the water tank unless specified by the manufacturer.
  • Ensure the steam generator is placed on a stable, flat surface and is not obstructed.
  • Do not touch the steam outlet directly as steam is extremely hot and can cause burns.
  • Unplug the unit when not in use and before cleaning.
  • Do not operate if the power cord or plug is damaged.

3. Setup Instructions

The sauna tent is designed for quick and tool-free assembly, typically within 10 minutes.

3.1 Sauna Tent Assembly

  1. Unfold the sauna tent cover and lay it flat.
  2. Assemble the rustproof stainless steel frame by connecting the poles using the convenient connectors. Ensure all connections are secure.
  3. Carefully insert the assembled frame into the sauna tent cover.
  4. Zip up the tent cover around the frame. The 3-sided zippered door allows for easy access.
  5. Place the absorbent mat on the floor inside the tent.
  6. Unfold the provided folding chair and place it inside the tent.
  7. Position the wooden foot massager board as desired for added relaxation.

3.2 Steam Generator Connection

  1. Place the steam generator outside the sauna tent on a stable surface.
  2. Connect one end of a soft hose to the steam outlet on the generator.
  3. Connect the other end of the soft hose to the designated port on the sauna tent.
  4. Ensure all connections are tight to prevent steam leakage.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Filling the Steam Generator

  1. Open the lid of the steam generator.
  2. Fill the stainless steel inner pot with clean water up to the indicated MAX fill line (0.8 Gal/3L capacity). Do not overfill.
  3. Close the lid securely, ensuring it is locked in place.
  4. If desired, place herbs or aromatic oils (such as lavender or chamomile) into the medicine box for a customized spa experience.

4.2 Powering On and Adjusting Settings

  1. Plug the steam generator into a suitable power outlet.
  2. Turn on the main power switch located on the steam generator. The display will illuminate.
  3. Use the control panel on the generator or the remote control to adjust settings:
    • Temperature: Select from 9 levels (95-145.5°F / 35-63°C). It is recommended to start at a high level for quick heating, then adjust as needed.
    • Timer: Set the desired session duration from 15 to 90 minutes.
    • Fogging Function: Activate for a finer steam spray.
  4. Allow approximately 10-15 minutes for the water to heat up and steam to begin producing.

4.3 Using the Sauna

  1. Once steam is consistently produced, enter the sauna tent and sit on the folding chair.
  2. Zip the tent closed to retain steam.
  3. Adjust settings as needed using the remote control from inside the tent.
  4. The transparent PVC window can be opened to dissipate heat or promote air circulation if desired.
  5. Stay hydrated by drinking water before and after your session.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning the Sauna Tent

  • After each use, allow the tent to cool down and dry completely to prevent mold or mildew.
  • Wipe the interior waterproof PVC fabric with a damp cloth and mild soap if necessary.
  • The absorbent mat can be removed and cleaned separately according to its care instructions.

5.2 Cleaning the Steam Generator

  • Unplug the steam generator and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  • Empty any remaining water from the inner pot.
  • Wipe the interior and exterior of the generator with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the unit in water.
  • Regularly descale the inner pot if mineral buildup occurs, using a descaling solution or vinegar diluted with water.

5.3 Storage

  • Ensure all components are clean and dry before storing.
  • The sauna tent can be folded into a compact size and stored in the provided storage bag.
  • The folding chair can also be collapsed for easy storage.
