1. Introduction

This manual provides instructions for the safe and effective use of your STARBEDIA Heated Blanket Queen Size (Model TH-2473U&8490). This Queen size electric blanket features a wireless LCD controller, machine washable waffle weave fabric, fast heating, 6 heat levels, and 2-10 hour timer settings. It is ETL certified for safety.

2. Important Safety Information

Please read all instructions carefully before using your heated blanket. Failure to follow these instructions may result in fire, electrical shock, or personal injury.

• Do not use this product with infants, immobile persons, or anyone insensitive to heat, such as people with poor blood circulation.
• Do not tuck the product in the wired area.
• Do not wrap or pinch electrical cords in any way.
• Do not use pins on the blanket.
• If improper operation occurs, stop use immediately and consult the manufacturer or dealer for repair.
• Never use this product with an air mattress.
• This product should never be folded, balled up, or wrapped around the controller when in use. This may result in overheating.
• The polarized plug blade (one is wider than the other) is a safety feature. This plug will fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature.
• Never plug in this product while damp.

3. Setup Instructions

1. Unpack the Blanket: Carefully remove the heated blanket from its packaging. It comes in vacuum-sealed plastic and is ready for immediate use.
2. Position the Blanket: Lay the heated blanket flat on your bed. Ensure it is spread evenly without any folds or creases.
3. Connect Controllers: Locate the connection ports on the blanket. Connect the wireless LCD controller(s) securely to these ports. For Queen size blankets, there are two controllers for dual-zone heating.
4. Plug into Power: Insert the power cord plug into a standard electrical outlet. Ensure the connection is firm.

4. Operating Instructions

Your STARBEDIA Heated Blanket is designed for ease of use with its wireless LCD controller.

1. Power On/Off: Press the power button on the wireless LCD controller to turn the blanket on or off.
2. Adjust Heat Levels: Use the 'Temp +' and 'Temp -' buttons to cycle through the 6 available heat settings. The maximum temperature can reach up to 118°F. The current heat level will be displayed on the LCD screen.
3. Set Timer: Use the 'Timer +' and 'Timer -' buttons to set the automatic shut-off timer. For Queen size blankets, you can choose from 5 time settings, ranging from 2 to 10 hours. The selected time will be shown on the LCD screen.
4. Automatic Shut-off: For your safety, the blanket is equipped with an automatic shut-off feature that activates after the set timer duration or if overheating is detected.

5. Maintenance

Proper care ensures the longevity and performance of your heated blanket. Always follow these instructions for washing and drying.

Washing Instructions:

1. Detach Controllers: Before washing, always detach the heating controller(s) and power cord from the blanket.
2. Machine Wash: Wash by hand or as follows in an automatic washing machine using slow agitation and normal spin speed.
3. Water Temperature: Fill the washing machine with warm water.
4. Detergent: Add a minimum amount of all-purpose detergent, agitate to dissolve, and measure the product before washing.
5. Soak and Agitate: Add the product and soak for five minutes. Agitate for two minutes.
6. Rinse: Spin. Fill for cool rinse, agitate for one minute, then spin.

Drying Instructions:

• Tumble Dry: Dry in an automatic dryer on high heat for five minutes only, or line dry.
• Reshape: Remove the damp product from the dryer, block it to its original size, and drape to finish drying.
• Do Not Iron: Never iron your heated blanket.
• Do Not Dry Clean: Do not dry-clean this product. Cleaning solvents may have a deteriorating effect on the insulation of the heating element.
• Do Not Bleach: Never bleach the blanket.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your STARBEDIA Heated Blanket, please refer to the following common solutions:

• Blanket not heating: Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a working electrical outlet and the controller(s) are firmly connected to the blanket. Check that the heat setting is not set to 'off' or 'low'.
• Controller display not working: Verify all power connections. If the issue persists, try unplugging and re-plugging the blanket after a few minutes.
• Automatic shut-off too soon: Check the timer settings on your controller. Ensure it is set to your desired duration. The blanket also has an overheat protection feature that will shut it off if it becomes too warm.
• Blanket feels too hot/cold: Adjust the heat settings using the 'Temp +' or 'Temp -' buttons on the controller to find your preferred comfort level.
• Error Code on Display: If an error code appears on the LCD display, unplug the blanket immediately and consult the manufacturer or dealer.
