Setup Guide
Follow these steps to set up your HP Envy 6155e printer for the first time. For detailed visual instructions, refer to the included setup guide.
1. Unboxing and Initial Preparation
- Remove the printer from its packaging.
- Remove all packing materials, tapes, and protective films from the exterior and interior of the printer.
- Ensure all components listed in the "What's in the Box" section are present.

2. Connect Power
- Connect the power cord to the back of the printer and then to a wall outlet.
- Press the Power button to turn on the printer.

3. Install Ink Cartridges
- Open the ink cartridge access door.
- Wait for the carriage to move to the center.
- Unpack the HP 68 Setup Black and Tri-Color cartridges.
- Insert the cartridges into their respective slots until they click into place.
- Close the ink cartridge access door.
4. Load Paper
- Pull out the input tray.
- Load a stack of plain white paper into the tray, print side down.
- Adjust the paper guides to fit the paper size.
- Push the input tray back into the printer.
5. Connect to Network and Install Software
- On the printer's 2.4-inch color touchscreen, follow the prompts to select your language and country/region.
- Select your Wi-Fi network from the list and enter the password. The printer features self-healing Wi-Fi to maintain a stable connection.
- Download the HP Smart app on your smartphone, tablet, or computer from your device's app store or hpsmart.com.
- Open the HP Smart app and follow the on-screen instructions to add your printer and complete the setup. This includes activating your 3-month Instant Ink trial if desired.

Printing Documents and Photos
- From a Computer: Select your HP Envy 6155e from your computer's print dialog. Adjust settings like paper type, size, and print quality.
- From Mobile Devices (HP Smart App): Open the HP Smart app, select "Print Documents" or "Print Photos," choose your file, and adjust print settings before sending to the printer.
- Duplex Printing: The printer supports automatic two-sided printing. Select the duplex option in your print settings to save paper.

- Place the original document on the scanner glass or in the ADF.
- On the printer's touchscreen, select "Copy."
- Choose the number of copies and whether you want color or black and white.
- Press "Start Copy" to begin.

Replacing Ink Cartridges
