5. Setup Instructions

5.1 Rack Mounting

  1. Identify an available 1U space in your standard 19-inch server rack or cabinet.
  2. Align the mounting brackets of the PDU with the rack posts.
  3. Secure the PDU to the rack using appropriate rack screws (not always included, check package contents). Ensure it is firmly attached.

5.2 Connecting to Power Source

  1. Ensure the PDU's power switch is in the 'OFF' position.
  2. Plug the PDU's 10-foot 14AWG power cord into a grounded 125V AC wall outlet or UPS.
  3. Verify that the power cord is not crimped or stressed, especially where it exits the unit.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Powering On/Off

To power on the PDU, press the red illuminated power switch to the 'ON' position. To power off, press the switch to the 'OFF' position.

6.2 Connecting Devices

Plug your electronic devices into the available 8 outlets on the front of the PDU. Ensure that the total current draw of all connected devices does not exceed 15A.

6.3 Overload Protection

The PDU is equipped with a 15A overload circuit breaker. If the total current draw exceeds 15A, the circuit breaker will trip, cutting power to all connected devices. To reset, disconnect some devices, then press the reset button on the overload switch.
