1. Introduction

This machine is designed to provide a convenient and high-quality coffee experience, offering 12 different drink options with a 20-bar pressure system and integrated WIFI functionality for smart control. Please read this manual thoroughly before operation to ensure proper use, maintenance, and longevity of your appliance.

2. Safety Information

  • Always connect the machine to a grounded power outlet.
  • Do not immerse the machine, power cord, or plug in water or other liquids.
  • Keep the appliance out of reach of children.
  • Unplug the machine before cleaning and when not in use for extended periods.
  • Do not operate the machine if the power cord or plug is damaged.
  • Use only clean, cold water in the water tank.
  • Avoid touching hot surfaces during operation.

4. Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all packaging materials and ensure all components are present.
  2. Placement: Place the machine on a stable, flat, and heat-resistant surface, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit.
  3. Water Tank: Fill the water tank with fresh, cold water up to the MAX level. Ensure the tank is properly seated.
  4. Bean Hopper: Open the bean hopper lid and fill with whole coffee beans. Avoid overfilling. For optimal performance, use non-flavored coffee beans. Flavored beans may cause issues with the grinder mechanism.
  5. Milk Container (if applicable): Connect the milk container to the designated port if you plan to use milk-based drinks.
  6. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet.
  7. Initial Rinse: Before first use, perform an initial rinse cycle as instructed on the display to clean the internal system.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Making a Drink

The WS-D5 offers 12 types of drinks. Use the touch screen to select your desired beverage.

  1. Ensure the water tank is filled and the bean hopper contains coffee beans.
  2. Place a cup under the coffee spout.
  3. On the touch display, select your desired drink. You can customize settings like coffee strength and volume if prompted.
  4. Press the START button to begin brewing.
  5. The machine will automatically grind beans, pre-soak the coffee grounds for optimal extraction, and brew your drink.

5.2. WIFI Function and App Control

The Mcilpoog WS-D5 features WIFI connectivity, allowing for remote control via a dedicated mobile application. To use this feature:

  1. Download the official Mcilpoog app (or compatible SmartLife/Tuya app) from your device's app store.
  2. Follow the in-app instructions to connect your coffee machine to your home WIFI network.
  3. Once connected, you can select drinks and initiate brewing from your mobile device.
  4. Note: If the machine enters standby or sleep mode, it may require manual interaction (double-pressing the touch screen to wake up and hitting START) on the machine itself before remote commands can be executed.

6. Maintenance

Regular cleaning and maintenance are crucial for the performance and lifespan of your coffee machine.

6.1. Daily Cleaning

  • Drip Tray: Empty and rinse the drip tray daily.
  • Coffee Grounds Container: Empty and clean the coffee grounds container daily.
  • Milk System (if used): After each milk-based drink, perform a quick rinse of the milk system as prompted by the machine or manually.
  • Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the machine with a soft, damp cloth.

6.2. Removable Brewer Cleaning

The brewing unit is designed for easy removal and cleaning.

  1. Turn off and unplug the machine.
  2. Open the service door and remove the brewing unit by pressing the 'PUSH' button and pulling it out.
  3. Rinse the brewing unit thoroughly under lukewarm running water. Do not use detergents.
  4. Allow the brewing unit to air dry completely before reinserting it into the machine.

6.3. Descaling

The machine will prompt you when descaling is required. Follow the on-screen instructions and use a suitable descaling solution designed for coffee machines.

7. Troubleshooting

This section addresses common issues you might encounter with your Mcilpoog WS-D5 coffee machine.
